Against brisbane he scored with a pretty mint volley from 20 yards

seems from article that the fact that we signed Ward means that we aren't in the market

Seems our mid field options were over estimated, we are threadbare. Take out Muscat, who should be at fullback, and the rest are decidedly ordinary. Toto turning into what he looked like a rushed signing and Diego was never an option so not sure where the midfield riches are. Elliott simply a different class and hard to understand why we would not have grabbed him! Maybe not too late if we have few dollars to spare and RH not too proud to eat some humble pie.

He's got to be better than Brown.  Sign him up.

Do something like what FC Kln did when they signed Podolski back.

Alternatively, sign Podolski.

Disagree with the muscat point, I think he's a far better midfielder than a fullback, but we have too many like him when he plays in the midfield. Brown muscat and lia should never be on the pitch at the same time.

With Oughton reportedly quitting the crew, perhaps we could nab him?

a midfield trio of Manny, Elliott and Ward would be decent

Muscat has done a good job at midfield but Sig and Hearfield are not fullbacks. They offer nothing going forward and are both at best patches. Muscat is a quality full back.

I actually thought Siggy was very good on Friday and has improved with every match at fullback. Hearfield, not so much.

Hearfield used to create a bit in attack e.g. v Victory when he helped get Ward sent off - but i expect Ricki has told him to do the defending as the priority

siggie was partly at fault for the first goal on the weekend, rushed up to intercept didnt quite get there which allowed their player (cant remember who) in behind to play the ball into Djite. Otherwise he was good, but still a few things to learn at RB.

Isn't Ellliot exactly what the Nix are crying out for? Someone who holds the ball and is capable of producing defence splitting passes.

Do we have anyone like that (either starting or on the bench)?????

Problem is, it'd only be for a year, don't think Ricki wants that. I agree that someone I like him would be good, as we have Brown, Lia and Muscat, who are pretty much the same

Add to that the fact that i'm not sure if he wants to live here and travel back to L.A. all the time.

But from the Nix perspective, him in the midfield is exactly what we want. Him Ward and Mooscat would be outstanding.

Elliottt>>>>>>>>>>>>Brown, Toto, Lia, Ward

Vicelich>>>>>>>>>> Sigmund, Hearfield

Brockie>>>>>>> 2010/11 Bertos

Stuffed up those recruitment opportunities.

Well Ivan got a better offer to play in China. Ricki wanted him.

Elliottt has moving and commitment issues.

No idea what happened with Brockie.

I'd give my left nut for Wood. The guy is classss.

We really could use him, and he asked about a 10 week guest contract, so he is willing for to stay here for a short stint.

If he is eligible, and the cost isnt too much, I really do think we should use him for the Guest spot. Its unlikely we would use it otherwise.

Ward is, putting it nicely, pretty useless.

Thats nice.

Dont see why you quoted me before saying that though..?

But anyway...Clearly Elliott cannot come over here to live and play. Therefore it was not a "we can either sign ward or Elliott" as Elliott is unavailable. So am not sure wjat you are getting at.
