Even if he doesn't develop enough to be A-League standard this season he's OK by me as a last resort and the thought of him possibly doing well at the WC and fetching us a transfer fee also appeals to me.

Im sure i read on this site, through Tony P that we had re-signed both Musa and Daniel for another year... Can't be bothered to search for it tho....

Tony P mentioned we had re-signed Lochhead. Daniel was always under contract for next year, I'm not sure why people keep thinking he wass off contract.

Would think Macallister and Musa will be re-signed, as both offer something useful enough.

From this morning:

"They have remained quiet about their activity in the transfer market.

But Greenham says they've made significant progress in recent weeks.

He says they hope to make an announcement of a new signing later this week."

It'll be too late by the end of the week. The season is nearly upon us, any new signing won't have enough time to settle.

May as well just throw in the towel on our season now and be done with it.

Shall we support ACFC instead?

I'd rather support another Oz team actually.

Sign:

Vicelich
Clapham
Lovemore

All cheapish and solid looking players.

Vicelich - Past it unfortunately
Clapham - I'm not convinced
Lovemore - Yes as a youth signing.

Its no longer a problem.

from memory someone pointed out on here that Vicelich don't want to move to Wellington.

That is why he didn't sign for them when he came home from Holland I believe.

Would be consistent with Nathan Greenham's statement about an announcement later this week.

His name has been chucked about on here a bit already also.

Oh it's a huge signing. Will instantly silence all the doubters. We will definitely be title favourites now.

Ahh nice, but does he know how to party?
Permalink Permalink

He's quick, and a utility. With party boy gone he'll be a more than capable replacement I'd say. Nothing ridiculous, but no worse of a signing than DMac was.

good news is that it shows players are still willing to come us, even after all the bull sh*t with $$.

Onwards and upwards.

Really, This must be fate, Downey thats not the way the clubs heading is it.

There is no way Downey is better than Hearfield. Maybe he used to be quicker before he got injured, that's about it. No footballing brain at all. Maybe that changed, though..

Still, nice to have some positive news out of the club.

remember seeing him years ago, super pacy. Think he can be a good option for us, however would like another RB signing - possibly someone who can play either flank, and put some pressure on our left and right backs
