U23 World Cup? No such thing (the Olympics kind of serve that role, but not in an official capacity).

Sorry it was 2007, under 21champs. He scored 4 goals.

Yeah, he was 23 in 2007 so that's probably where the confusion comes from - in Europe, you have to be U21 when the qualfying starts, and that can be couple of years prior to the final U21 EURO tournament starting. So not uncommon to have 22/23 year olds playing at the U21 EURO champs.

His career since then has been largely unimpressive though.

Not someone I would sign on reputation, if he wanted to come out and trial then maybe. Rovers signed him based on that good tournament, and had been trying to offload him since.

well done James Musa....another Nix boy gets a pro contract

What level is Bradford?.....league 1?

League 2 - realistically it's a step down from the A-League

Normo's coming home

good to see Kiwi's pick up pro contracts, but realistically we need players in the Championship (or equivalent) at least if we're to develop as a NT.
Good on Musa, hope he goes from strenght to strenght.

Especially considering it's a development side of a League 2 club.

Don't be a hater EG. Lad's giving it a crack.

Jimmy Dean is right tho...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Not hating, just stating the obvious (which I'm pretty good at!). He's gone from being in the senior squad of a professional club with a couple of league appearances to being in a development/youth squad of a professional club playing at an arguably lower level of professional football.

But I hope he makes something of this opportunity.

Good for Musa I reckon, Good luck to him there. He did some good and some bad things today, needs to work on his passing out from the back

needs to be more consistent. And when I say consistent, I mean he needs to be getting hattricks every game.

If Musa then develops well for AWs then its a win win.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

im not sure he will in that league(if he gets a run).
Isnt Draper kicking about down there??

Nah, Draper's with The New Saints in Wales. Even lower level football I'm led to believe (although he's in their first team squad).

Yeah but at least he should be getting game time week in week out in a pro environment with the youth side, rather than possibly only playing once or twice a year with the Nix if the 'A' side doesn't happen.

I agree - the collar and the rest of the shirt looks very Big League Soccer (i.e from the early 1980s for you youngsters) Mossman2011-08-09 08:55:20

It'll be good for Adidas if they can flog them off at $220 a pop

Sounds lie it's $140.  10% off with your Fever Card at RYOS.

It is a lot of money.  No disrespect intended to RYOS who I know aren't making a lot on them.

Someone made a great comparison on Facebook the other day when they pointed out that a Chelsea top is significantly cheaper than a Phoenix one.

Adidas are pushing the price envelope.  Good thing there's always a trusty Fever Tee for $35 to keep you in yellow at the bargain end of the market!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
