First of all, Chris Tanner is an agent, probably Waigo's agent in Aus/NZ, so hardly an objective source.
Second, Terry's call was most likely to be "can't afford him", which is something I imagine he has to tell the football staff quite a lot.

All I said was that he looked a decent prospect based on what I can find on the net. Nothing to do with the agent.
He's played and scored goals at a decent level in Europe. Plus there is the Papa Waigo dance...
Who knows on Terry - we're all speculating based on one tweet. I just hope that he isn't making football decisions. Which is all I said in the first place.

Anyway, back to the guy who is actually here he looks very much like a Ricky Herbert forward. Big, strong and a handful for defenders. You can see him as a fulcrum for our other midfielders/wide men to operate around - looks a lot more mobile than mccallister.
Interesting to know whether he still plans on bringing in an attacking midfielder. If he does, and he plays behind this guy, one of Ifil, Leo or Pantelis will probably miss out week to week (and maybe one of Lia and Brown, assuming Manny is always in there). I suppose with their injury history you need the cover.

What about Richie Cardozo? Goalscoring playmaker can't be ignored for too long, plus age is on his side... With him, Ifill and Mehmet/Sanchez, our attacking third would rate, imo

I have seen him play. He was an okay NZFC player for Waitakere In their worst NZFC season. We're looking for someone at a higher level to play that role.

Hi guys,
Billy Mehmet will be a top signing for the Phoenix. Just read a bit on net, he did not trial with Notts County, The Gaffer done his agent a favour by letting him play 90 mins of football as he hadn't played a full game since end of the turkish season. Hearts were very keen on signing him last season and a few weeks back and new management are still keen on he's signature. Adelaide are also interested in signing him. He has come out on the advice of Shane Smeltz to have a look at the club and the setup, but chose to have a look over potential offers in the UK and Europe, so shows he wants to be here.
If I get any more info, I will post.

Ok sign this Mehmet guy up! Congratulations on Rickie and co for scouting and getting him over.
Looks like the sort of forward who would suit the Nix's playing style. I guess it all comes down to conditions...i.e money. If we have him on board, plus someone like Sanchez then I think we can be quietly confident about the upcoming season. We have a core of good experianced players, we just need a couple of key signings and Mehmet would certainly be one of those.
Is Sanchez back trainiing with the Nix?

Mehmet looks like a very good target man in that St Mirren v Celtic clip- and that makes sense if we are also looking at Thurtell.
It's all very well using that touch and distribution, but without two or three goal scorers making runs it is not much use or someone playing the ball to him. Not quite sure if Greenie is quick enough to be our Thomas Broich...think he still has something to offer up front, but we'll see I guess!

dont really want mully, unless he's given a propper shot in a creative role. I think he's a known source, and we are aiming to fill those spots with quality starters. Theres no point in him coming here, then sitting on the bench.
I think him, like Clapham, are players who could fit into the side, but would be average signings compared to what the club, and supporters should be striving for.
Thats not to say I think both should be looked at carefully, just no pint in signing midfielders as cover, unless they are young in my opinion, may as well try sign guys who will be in our starting 11, and any cover as youth guys like chettleburgh who have the ability to grow
