Does look like Stoke/Hull/WBA template - yellow with black stripes, rather than black with yellow stripes

Sounds lie it's $140.  10% off with your Fever Card at RYOS.

It is a lot of money.  No disrespect intended to RYOS who I know aren't making a lot on them.

Someone made a great comparison on Facebook the other day when they pointed out that a Chelsea top is significantly cheaper than a Phoenix one.

Adidas are pushing the price envelope.  Good thing there's always a trusty Fever Tee for $35 to keep you in yellow at the bargain end of the market!

+ 10% fever discount...

I would expect a Chelski shirt to be worth a lot less than a Phoenix one.

Doesnt compare I know but my second fav team in the world Birmingham city ( no laughing pleaase) sell their shirts for 35 pounds which is significanlty cheaper then the Phoenix one and do wonder if its just Adidas being robbing bastards

Adidas NZ are obviously responsible for the inflated shirt prices here. Adidas UK/or wherever are in a seperate market so have different prices for whatever reason but i think its clear that adidas NZ are looking to cash in with both the nix and ABs new shirt launches.

Er, surely part of the issue is economies of scale? They might sell a million Chelsea shirts worldwide and maybe a few thousand Nix shirts if they're lucky. Large production runs are cheaper per unit.

Wrong place to post but purchased last night on line in USA, $80.00 for shirt $15.00 for 7 day delivery even with exchange rate and taking into account the high volume of All Black shirts sold in the USA(ha ha)they are getting a good deal.

Not sure on that to be honest.

Hibs tops are 35GBP - that's only $70 NZD. Celtic and Rangers tops are the same price however they sell many thousands more than Hibs.

As far as I can tell, replica kits in NZ for all sports are a rip off. I haven't bought any since I got here, although I may be swayed by the Phoenix top this year (despite still thinking it's too expensive!).

About the $220 Stripey idea. Funny yes, but YF having a go at our new Nix kit sponsors retail arm would be the way to start the first season off on the wrong foot..just saying.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

Taking our time and getting close on a couple of things.

Not terribly impressed with the U20s it seems.

Interesting that he's not ruling Bouzanis out. I thought he was "in" at Blackpool.

he was on Classic Hits radio in the morning and is injured - so don't thin he would have been scouting for the Nix unfortunately

Piney on twitter:

English striker Billy Mehmet trialling with Phoenix, 27yo, 6 ft 2, five seasons at St Mirren, club's leading goalscorer #wgtnphoenix

Sounds promising.

so is he one of the European strikers from one of the "Top Leagues" Ricky was saying?
I haven't heard of him until now so have no idea. He looks tough. We could use a bit of mongrel up front as the only one who puts pressure on defenders is Greenacre.

Genlerbirli?i

On 10 May 2010, it was confirmed that Mehmet had signed for Turkish side Genlerbirli?i S.K. on a two-year deal with a one-year option to extend his stay.[7] However in January 2011 Mehmet mutually agreed to terminate his contract as Genlerbirli?i S.K. suffered financial issues.[8] He made just 14 appearances for the club.[9]

is that the same club smeltz also had a brief stint at?

Edit. Around the same time too?TopLeft072011-08-12 13:03:18

To answer my own question re smeltz:

Genlerbirli?i S.K.

On 24 August [2010] his overseas career was given a lifeline when he was signed by Turkish Sper Lig club Genlerbirli?i S.K..[10] Smeltz made his debut for the club in their 2-1 home win over Istanbul BB. Smeltz scored his first goal for the club in the 1-0 home win over Ankaragucu with a 45th minute penalty.

different clubs i assume [edit. same club - thrown off by the lack of 'SK']TopLeft072011-08-12 14:03:10
