Does Chris wood forget how to play when he’s in all white shirt or something?
No, but clearly his teammates do not have enough understanding of how he plays. Different universe.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Fallon and saying "aggressive". Just try and name more iconic duo.

Amazing from Crocombe. Lack of urgency to stop the cross from de Vries imo.

Disappointing, again our early dominance hasn't come to anything and Australia take the lead from limited chances

A chance is all that Australia needs - and we reap our lack of our chance conversion.

just lacking the finishing, again Wood had a decent chance early and wasnt ruthless/accurate enough

So two shots and Aus score meanwhile three great opportunities for our Prem striker and nothing. Great.

We just don't know how to score.

FDV and Payne still the weak links, no change from last week.

in terms of the header, ball was bouncing and spinning away from him, he got a lot on it considering. great save to be fair.

From watching the telly sounds like a rugby crowd with zero atmosphere

Where are The Port?

can hear Baze now "we had great intent, just lacked execution"

Would not call FDV a weak link. He is solid while not particularly imaginative, but he does well enough what is tasked with.

That Sarpreet effort sums up our half...

Payne’s been wank imo but I don’t have faith that Elliot would be any better

no one putting their hands up to be the weak link. Bindon could have done better with the tackle on Toure and would have won that ball 9/10 times, but he's clearly not a problem overall. That's just football. We looked a bit deflated after the headed chance for Rowles - just need to sort out head space out when playing the Australians.

I don't think our backline is an issue this match at all really.

Our issue is that no matter how many times we get the ball up there, we don't score goals.

They're showing a tribute Marco Rojas Aleague goals on the big screen.

Two classy flowing bits of play with no finish.

Versus one sheer bit of pace and physical intent to pinch a chance and finish.

All about moments of class. But the AWs have produced some good footy.

However, for all our huffing and puffing, the best goalscoring chances (at either end) came from the Australian players.  I would say that this first half from us was more underwhelming than Friday night in Canberra (goals aside).

Did VAR even look at the Penalty call? Looked like upper arm but still out from the body? We certainly don't get any benefits from luck.....that said it's such an encouraging performance. We're ranked about 30 places behind - you wouldn't know it.

Commentary mentioned VAR was looking.
Aus - 24
NZ - 82
58 places ahead of us, for what it's worth

Feels like they’re all around me, it’s a good atmosphere but I still feel kinda dirty here in the south end.

But I’m standing next to Tracey (also got to meet Dale finally), who more than makes up for it!

What is crowd size? Looks like a few spare seats. Pity after that first game.

We've been the better side again. Even if we lose, I'm still happy with the progression of the team.

On reflection, definitely not enough crowding the box from us - even if the ball is sent in, not enough of us attacking it.
I am seeing much less from Bell and Thomas than in the last game.

Not sure if i agree being better side, Australia produced a couple of key moments themselves and are ahead.. i thought fridays performance was far more commanding, they’re getting through our midfield with relative ease in transition, but that’s just my observation

I can't believe I am frustrated by us outplaying Australia. But here we are. Hope for more of the same with a more clinical edge for the 2nd half.
