Just to put it out there. I don't think All Whites will sell out Wellington, but I'm happy to be surprised.

Dewhurst suggested giving the game to NH and making it a "Wellington vs. Auckland" competition to see who could sell the biggest crowd.

I would have thought that a North vs. South would be a far more interesting battle - who would get more? Wellington for Paraguay or Christchurch for Honduras?

I know Wellington is midweek but even so I think that the thirst for quality football in the South Island would draw a massive crowd for Honduras.

Exactly. And all the average joes will see it as a meaningless game. I think 20k would be a solid effort.

Anyone care to pick the crowd for Honduras at AMI? AM I dreaming when I think a 35,000+ crowd could be possible?

Yes you're dreaming. I'd pick somewhere between 25k and 30k if they get the pricing right. It's on a Saturday, so you'd get a lot of fans from the whole south island coming for it. with the 19.5k we got for the nix match as the foot-hold estimate, something in the range of 25k+ is about right. It won't sell out.

I wouldn't say sellout but I would have thought 30-35,000 realistic to target?

I'd say 25K sounds about right for AMI. The Wellington game might not sell out, but I'd expect at least 25-30K. The midweek thing is a stumbling block, as midweek games have less appeal to people in that city and restricts out-of-towners.

North Harbour will get 19K, plus how many can fit on the wooden stands we will build the night before.

Saxton Field will get about 2000, if we're lucky.

Yeah it sucks that the midweek thing couldnt be helped but i dont think anyone will get arses on seats for a mid week game better than Wellington will.

Typical Dorkland have a terrible record with the AW's but still get the games.... Would rather have 2 games in Wellington than one in Dorkland. Should of gone to AMI.

North Shore City have provided generous support to attract the game to the city and ARTA will provide free public transport to the ground from key routes around Auckland.  This will be only available to supporters who have pre-purchased their tickets.
