Those two won't get on the pitch

You claimed that Steven Gulley would not be up to Central League  for the  season just completed and you were made to look foolish as he had a very good year.

I heard that and am happy to say I was wrong but he was average in CP whenever I saw him. If he gets off the bench for TW good on him. Just saying those two signings are squad fillers by TW standards of late.

Not sure if it was ploy by Calcott to make you look like a cock but they both came off the bench in the dying minutes.

Calcott starting to struggle?

Not convincing and lucky against Waibop & todays result.

yeah they need to get better. Defence looked to struggle, especially like before the first goal when Cant pressed well. The red card won't help them.

He does seem to have the role uncontested.. The most funded TW coach ever and gets in big mkney players happy to get paid and get on a plane.. He definately got it wrong tactically where he struggles..

TW had a decent show of it for a while but Corrales and the TW 11 (?) carried on like right Twits and Corrales got sent for swearing or something.

TW looked poor last week and unconvincing this weeks and agree that they are in trouble.

Any truth to the rumour that he ran out of the ground with one of his coaching staff and confronted some Canterbury Fans and had to be pulled away from one?

Id assume they lack cohesion with players flying in for one training a week and few big personalities floating about... Just not in a good spot

There's some truth there on that rumour. On the way to the carpark in front of lotsa people. #embarassing

Apparently he was the coach that was the 'poor sport' last time who complained about Canterbury's passionate supporters that resulted in the roping off of the area behind the dugouts.

Apparently Corrales slapped a Canterbury player.  Thought TeeDubs were poor.  Less time sooking and whining and kicking people and more time doing the basics right.

I have never unserstood the Chris Bale thing.  By all accounts he commands big money but I have never at any point seen anything to say he is worth a cent of it.

No not at all especially when I heard that the coach and his staff member brought their 'physical side' to the encounter.  Agree not a good look.

Whiney. Petulant. Dangerous tackles. It is really hard to support team Wellington when they're everything that is bad about football and the ASBP.

Hard News, Chris Bale is a very good player, has been starting XI in league-winning teams for Waitakere and Auckland City, can play almost anywhere, has a great goalscoring record, a tremendous shot, excellent awareness, and, erm quite temper a times.

He is perhaps best suited to the back four or a holding role in midfield.

Calcott is a clever chap, and has a keen sense of humour. Loved his pre-match patter on the tele, particularly the pre-meditated wind-up about Canterbury being a very physical team - ahead of his lot going out and really clattering them. Excellent.

Surely there has to be some follow-up on the coaches. Is there any precedent for a national coach to follow fans into the car-park and try and start trouble? Seems very unprofessional.

i think so.  it's very hard to look half decent when the ball and bodies are flying everywhere, but every time he got the ball he was very tidy and composed.  in contrast i thought clapham looked lost in amongst the dust

when grant turner smashed out kevin fallons car lights after a national league game there was a huge fuss

i wonder if we'll hear more about this?

and vim, you said national coach, are you saying that mark oates was involved too?

I didn't know we had a professional league.

Well just like an EPL encounter then. Give the Jose's some stick and see what comes next.

At least with Calcott you can understand what he's saying.

As a game to watch it was rubbish.

Bruce.  Are you copy and pasting from this season's media pack?

I was told it was the TW coach and another official that was in their dugout, not sure who it was. By national coach I meant national league coach.

Haven't seen a media pack this year, Hard. Have seen far too much of Bale running through my teams over the years, however. His goal highlights reel would be a good watch.

I've watched him since he arrived and his first couple of seasons he was excellent.  However during his first stint with Team Wellington and since then I don't know where that player has gone.

For me he's living on a reputation forged 5 or 6 years ago.

Surely if this happened this should be big news.  Look what happened to the last person that man handled someone at the park.

This is the coaching staff as well who would have had to make a hurried run to the carpark to ambush the spectators.
