Team Wellington... no longer an association with Ole. Chur

I'm biased, but thought TW were very lucky to win that. Both teams chances but I thought Tasman were far more fluid in the front third. Keiran Smith and Brian Kaltack were both outstanding and not a bad debut for Britton in goal.

Looking forward to a replay of the Barcia/Ifill challenge, plenty of people thought a red was harsh for Barcia.

Ridsdale certainly wasn't happy about the penalty either but I missed what happened.

I couldn’t believe it wasn’t Ifill who got sent off for that challenge.

The penalty seemed a soft one to give away, but the referee had no choice really.

It was right in front of the linesman and 4th official and Conga consulted them both before the red. I thought it was right as well. Ifill went off his feet and won the ball but I thought Bacia went over the ball into Ifills leg. Definitely need a replay though!

There weren't too many protests about the pen so I assume it was right

I think the second Ifill left his feet, anything that happens after that is irrelevant (to a point) as he should’ve been sent off for that. Maybe he should have sent both of them off, that would’ve been something!

nah I disagree with this, you can leave your feet without committing a red card offence. I wanna see what the footage looks like from the other side to how we saw it because it sounds like that's the side we need to see it from.

I was just behind the officials when they discussed it, basically they said Ifill went in recklessly but had his studs down, while Barcia went in studs up which is what made the difference between Yellow and Red.

Interesting. I saw Ifill go in studs up. Very keen to see a replay now - too bad I won’t be able to (thanks NZF/Sky).

Kaltak kicked Molloy.

It's not in focus, and just after the kick, but you get the idea.

Damn, I thought Kaltack was the best player on the park otherwise. Immense in the air and that scorpion kick thing in the 6 yard box to take it off Kilkolly's head was something else

Also thought Ridsdale and Perico were fantastic on either side of the defense. Got forward well and created chances. Both Fenton and Stevens were poor which says something about their defending as well

Yees, How many defenders do they need???  Think strikers should be more of a priority !!!!

Looking at the goals against - defence may well need a boost to stay in top 2

If you're forever losing it/giving it away in the midfield you can expect that.  If you don't score the goals, you don't win the games. Always easy to blame the defence!!!  But if the business is not done up the other end......

Should both teams finish on the same points total (likely) overall goal difference irrelevant if they get a result at ACFC or don't lose as badly as ACFC did at Davey F.

Is he a gk? I thought we were pretty sorted in that department?
Also, does the transfer market ever close in the Handa Prem? Feels like most teams are still actively recruiting players.

Guess they rate him over Marcel Kampman, the NYL player who has been RGK until now.

They had signed Carr months ago - he must have been unavailable until now.

You're allowed to sign players at any time until you have 23 registered.

What makes the transfer period in January special is that it's the only time you can deregister anyone, so if you have guys in your 23 who are injured/have left you can't replace them outside of then.

I may be way off but I think Carr was on the bench vs Tasman - doesn't look like Team Wellington put the reserves list on twitter for that game though.

Per NZF it's been Kampman for all seven games.

Could it just be prep for OFC C/L   - 3 keepers ** out field players (IIRC)

Carr just wasn't available for the first seven or so weeks of the season, so they've used their NYL goalie on the bench.

They've waited until the guys were in town and available, even if already signed, to announce them publicly. Why, beats me.

There is a transfer window (pretty sure opens again in January), so maybe they still have (had) gaps in their squad / roster.

Kampman is OK, but is liable to brain fades and does silly things, was sent off twice for Lower Hutt in the last Central League season (possibly deserves it for wearing the number 91 on his back!)

Front 3(ish) was Joel - Kilkolly - J-H S.

Ilich, Barcia, Kayara and Molloy across the middle and Shrijvers, Gulley and Hilliar back 3ing.  Pretty flexible where they played in that formation.

Haven't seen much of Wellington this season, how's Tom Jackson been? According to Transfermarkt he's got the highest value in the Handy (£360k), more than De Vries and co.
