I just can't see City losing this.

Wanna bet? At long last Liverpool have found their mojo - just as Man U have lost theirs. Coincidence? Maybe.

I hope I'm wrong but it looks ominous right now.

Not an ideal result this morning but let's not forget the title is still in our hands. Two 10-0 wins and we'll have it in the bag. Too easy.

Have to admit boys, I'm finding it hard! Think we have blown our chance....Still hoping though.

Newcastle in your last game, they are cack, you could feasibly knock em for 6-7 if you're on your game.

Don't think Palace will go for that many unfortunately though...

Wouldn't write off the hammers getting a result against City though. Big Sam would love nothing more than to stop someone winning the title I reckon, he thrives on sh*t like that and would love to take the credit for it afterwards.

Dear Winston Reid,

Should you keep a clean sheet this weekend I will personally ensure that you're able to pick and choose the All Whites fixtures you play in, with no complaint from NZF or any All Whites fans ever. I will also name my first-born child Winston Wiremu in your honour.

Sincerely,

Fitzy

LFC V NEWCASTLE GAME INFO - Wellington

It's business time!

As of now we are still top of the league, and either way come Sunday night we'll still be in with a shout. Whilst the Palace and Chelsea results have been a setback, we learnt from Istanbul that miracles can happen!

It shows how far we've come in the last 12 months that players and fans are in tears when we've scored 99 goals, are back in the Champions League, have the Players and Football Writers Player of the Year, and sit on top of the league by a point. City have it in their hands, but so did we a few weeks back...pressure does funny things!

So the last game of this incredible season will be at Electric Avenue (instead of The Pub).
We'll have the whole venue for what will be another LFC exclusive event.
We can take over the venue from 12, Kick off is at 2am.
Due to licensing laws, we need to be out of there just after the full time whistle, at 4am.

Normally we would need to purchase food, but as a work around, the staff will come round with pizza that you will be able to purchase by the piece.

It would be great it we could pack out a venue that holds double that of The Pub, around 300 people, so please spread the word.

Also, please do us a big favour, if you are on Facebook and intend on coming please 'join' the event so I can let the staff know projected numbers.

It's been a crazy season with much more highs than lows, and whilst some of you may not feel like it, we should be really proud of the lads, and BR, for what they've achieved.

Hope to see a massive crowd on Sunday night / Monday morning!

Thanks for your support

Well fudge. I've only calmed down . Jr is still livid and stomping around like a very very pissed off 12 year old.

I'm afraid to say that I think we drew to Palace due to a combination of utterly inept  , comical defending but also a significant degree of arrogance  , both on the part of the players and Rodgers. There were comments about the goal difference before hand- ignoring the fact that we had to win the bloody game first. 3-0 ; time to say thanks very much and lets just settle down. Pulis' teams never ever bum up  and for us to think we were automatically going to put a sack full past them was arrogant in the extreme. They're not Arsenal , after all.

Our defensive record is not good enough to be champions. I've loved the way we've played this year but there is a time and a place for a slightly more pragmatic approach on occasion. I can't believe I'm about to say this but I agree with something Leggy wrote on the Chelsea game ; given we only needed to draw that , maybe we should have  had a different mindset. We won't always score 4 or 5 but we generally look like we may conceed 2 or 3. Agger should really have started last few games.

But we've had a great season- look at the seasons that other "pretenders " have had . Ferdinand's comment at start of season about 3 teams being in contention ( Manure , City and Chelsea) -  how'd that work out for you , cock? I've really enjoyed getting to Pub with Jr- great times.

At start of season , I'd have taken 4th. We'll probably get 2nd and nearly won the bloody thing.Hopefully Rodgers has learnt a bit of humility to go with his undoubted talents of getting the best out of players ( example- Sterling , Henderson). Our attack , Chelsea's defensive pragmatism... Jr already has his transfer list ready to go. I'll get him to post it.

Groff, Jazzman and other Wellington Reds who aren't on Facebook or twitter...

Last game of the season coming up and we are one of only 2 teams that can WIN the league!
Unbelievable to think just how far we've come from this time last year. Hell, in August I thought we'd scrape 6th, start of January we'd be close to top 4...I'm already in dreamland and extremely proud of them!
So come and join us on Monday morning, after the drama that's gone on this season it would be naive to think there couldn't be one last twist in the story, as Rodgers would say "it's all part of the dance..."

Let's pack Electric Avenue out and have a bloody good night!

Sorry for the spam...

Hi all Wellington Reds
Numbers are looking good for the last game of the season, but are still on the thin side when compared to previous weeks.
If there's one thing this EPL season has taught us (other than good times coming back to Anfield), it's that the unpredictable can and does happen. If a miracle occurs at the Emptyhad, and WHU pull off an upset, there's only one place in Wellington you'll want to be...surrounded by fellow Reds at Electric Avenue.

If you are planning on attending the event and aren't on twitter or Facebook, please 'THIS' this post so I can give the venue an indication of numbers.

As LFC fans, miracles should be something we believe in. Either way, we've exceeded expectations and it's sure to be a great night.

Thanks for your support

So Jaz, what does Jr think of Lallana?  And more rumors of Caulker again that I'm not too fussed on.

@groff

You probably did mate. Was getting a bit worried, numbers were very low 2 days ago, was pretty disappointed. I get it's a Monday, and we're rank outsiders now for the title, but expected there would be better interest. Reckon we'll be about 90-100 though now based on previous estimates so that's not too bad

He quite likes Lallana , and his plan involves getting rid of Enrique and Alberto as a player plus a bit of cash deal. I think he fancies Tello more but wouldn't object to Lallana.
He still wants the Plank and that dude that went to Borussia ( Henryk something). I think he wants Borini back but  , and I'm quoting , " Assaidi can bugger off  , Dad. He's crap". Remembering that Jr is just turned 12. I know he wants Suso back but I don't know what his views are on Wisdom. He doesn't rate Caulker but thinks that getting Vorm would be a good idea.
He's got a list of defensive targets but I'll log him in tomorrow and get him to write them. My broadplan plan is exceeding my allowance by a vast amount currently with the amount of scouting he's doing. We've already had one argument about Cole. He thinks that as an out of contract player, he could still do a job.I think Cole is a cock who can't get in Chelski's first team so why would we want him?
Oh , he came across one thing linking us with a move for Bony. He spat tacks  , he was so furious.it was actually quite funny

Hey Kopgoff , I'll be there but I'm not sure about Jr. He's got training at 6am  , then school , and more training in the arvo.I suspect his mother will say he needs sleep.

Tello is nothing more than a fringe player if my FM14 career is anything to go by.

From Football365 -

...Their incredible run of late-season form has seen their matches shown live 28 times this season, three more than any other side - the Liverpool revolution has certainly been televised. The Anfield coffers have been swelled to the tune of an estimated £97.8million in television revenue, an increase of £43million from last season...

If the rumours of a 60m quid warchest for CL qualification are true, and seperate from the revenue above, just imagine what our transfer kitty could be. i'm of the thinking that we could still see Suarez leave, and if a team comes knocking with 60m-75m for a 27 year old with behavioural issues, we'd have to take a good look. Imagine what a potential transfer budget of $150m+ could do if spent wisely.

"...sure beats doin' stuff."

I said spent wisely...

Levy's approach is to let Liverpool do the scouting and then buy the players they are after whether they they fit the system or not.

Although we now have to meet financial fair play blah blah. We lost 50 million pounds last year so really do have to be careful or be penalised. I just hope Agger stays.....I LOVE HIM
