I'd get Sterling in the team long before uttering Lennon's name...
As for Mr Adam. The only thing he signed last night was his golf card. Either that or it's a funny new way for Kenny to take a medical.

Still don't know why you would even consider getting rid of Meireles. He's one of the only players in your squad I would take. If you pay 20m for Henderson then sell Meireles for any less you are frankly mad!
Agreed.

Is right.
Uhh, when does the season start?!

Mata signed a contract extension? Not looking good or it Valencia's way of getting a bit more coin?
Wickham to Sunderland aye...
Think they maybe over paying with this one. Can't see us matching it.

Sammy Lee gone?
Was always going to be a tricky one with Steve Clarke around. Hopefully Clarke is stepping up. I very much like the KD+SC partnership.

Sammy Lee never really did a lot with Kenny and Clarke.
A shame about Wickham, would prefer him to Ngog, tbh. Still, need a left back!
Sorry guys, Sunderland get Wickham. Now official.
^Not fussed a whole lot. They paid top dollar and we have a lot of talented 17-18yrs coming through ourselves.
Good to see john Henry interacting with fans!
John W Henry doesnt normally tweet much. Before today, he hadnt posted anything in over three months, since the 23rd of March.
However, following this tweet at around 6pm tonight:
Speculation on players shouldnt include those of a certain age. We are not going to be successful by merely filling short-term needs at LFC
He indulged in a mini question-and-answer session effectively. Here are some of the more interesting bits:
@penwhen: Wonder if JWH is paying attention to his LFC subjects during Red Sox season. If he is, hes wondering what he got himself into.
JWH: Very happy, very honored to be a part of all of this. I know its difficult not seeing whats going on behind the scenes.
@1karim: Do things the Liverpool way!
JWH: Trying.
@LukeG81: does this mean that were only thinking long term though and should brace ourselves for a wait for success? YNWA
JWH: I dont think so, Luke. We were very competitive in the second half of last year.
@JoeJoeLFC: I hope JWH put some nerves at ease and shut some haters mouths. YNWA
JWH: I doubt there are many haters, just some very eager to see LFC at the top. Patience is part of a necessary discipline we need.
@PortsDave Good news, hopefully this policy also extends to overpriced British players. Thanks for all that your doing for the club
JWH: Dave, everything in sports is overpriced now especially the cost of winning. But you make your choices based on a plan.
@mikey_white82: Really like the ethos of our owners @John_W_Henry Were in the market for young & hungry talent that WANT to win & play for the shirt
JWH: Thats a big part of it, Michael.
@LFC_newsnow: Isnt balance the key John to a teams success? Youth & Experience? Are we ruling out buying players over a certain age?
JWH: Whos news now? We already have quite a bit of experience in the club. Should be a good balance.
@rocketstig: My mate is adamant that JWH is is seeking a US player so he can sell the game to the US.Any thoughts? And if so who might it be?
JWH: Steve, the U.S. will remain a tough sell and the answer is no. But you really have to like what Garber et al have accomplished.
@dhol_den: do you think the press are overhyping us missing out on targets to try and make fans feel unsure about your ownership YNWA
JWH: David, who has a tougher job than a football journalist in trying to decipher what is going on in this sport with poss transfers!
@LFCNigerian: Sir what is going on.. things is not going according to plan. u promiss early signing. noting happen. Man u 3 player now
JWH: Abuh, some things happen early and some late. The important thing is that things happen. Sometimes what you avoid is important.
@Jonah545711: are we making progress on the new stadium plans?
JWH: Simon, an incredible amount of work has been underway on this issue. It would be helpful for fans to get an official update.

Aquilani: "I'm returning to Liverpool with enthusiasm. Juventus? There were restrictions.
I have no problems with it. It is not true that I didn't want to go back to England.
I leave Juve on good terms, perhaps there was too much waiting around in the squad, in any case I have fallen outside those restrictions."
Good news, that's essentially another transfer.

Oh and Paul Clement (Ex-CFC coach) or Gary Mac as next to join Kenny's coaching line up?

Not sure I believe it though. Seems like he has not received any buyers so the last resort is a return to England
Great questions/answers with JWH there, really interesting stuff to read
Clearly a smart man and a good owner

Pretty sure he wanted to stay in Italy but Jube couldnt offer him a spot in the first team. They signed Pirlo and looking likely to get Honda
so a first team spot wasn't looking likely. Bad news for you guys I guess I don't think Aquilani is anything special Dunno , I think potentially Aqualani is a very very good player. He showed glimpses forus , and was extremely good for Juve. Depends on his attitude when he comes back ,I suspect. If he sulks then he can go and get f...ed. But if he wants to play and gets a role just in the hole behind the font runners , he has the ability to really shine. Needs a worker though , Lucas step up son!
Was always going to be tough for Sammy with SC. TBH , I'd rather have SC anyway. Harsh on SL but that's the way I feel about it.
NOt bothered about Wickham ( although Jazz jr thnks we should have tried harder to get him).I'm not sure he offers a lot more than Sterling ( Ok , not an out and out striker)or Adam Morgan. Bruce has a crap load of $ to spend anyway( has he spend the Bent $ yet?)
Still need a new LB and width up front. Mata please , KD/DC
I don't think he had an extremely good season. I watched a lot of Serie A and he wasn't even their best midfielder imo he was behind Krasic and Melo and considering Jube finished 7th in the Serie A none of their midfielders were spectacular
Well, I saw Felipe Melo on some team of the years. But anyway, I would say Aquilani had an alright season. I do like his game though, if he play consistently.

Of all the things to do on holiday let alone own! this would not be one of them if I had that kinda money!
Reds back training
Good to see Aqua back. Not so good to see Poulsen was still there...
EDIT
P.S like seeing the way KD greets all the players. Love the smile

TheKop2011-07-05 08:34:38why are we bothering with Adam?
more trouble that he's worth and if we keep holding off we can probably pick him up for $2.5m later in the year

Agree re poulsen but someone has to clean the boots and pick up the balls and cones after training!
How damn short is spearing?!! Love the heart on him thou!
Good read, be interesting to see what kenny changes in that set up going forward.
On another note I hope Hamann does a good job with Stockport!

Finally got the Adam deal sorted! Hasn't taken long...

Also good to see Glen's got a new deal and Insua's back in training. Thought his contract had lapsed?!

How midfielders are on the books now? Getting a little ridiculous. Poolfan2011-07-07 11:42:46
Goodness me Insua is ugly.
Welcome Charlie! About freaking time. Downing next?
If we get Downing I'm sure that means no Mata
No reason why we can't have both Mata and Downing in the squad. That being said, don't think its likely

Glad we got Adam finally- now we can move onto our next targets! Think he could be a good addition to the squad, and we got him for 7mil which is also good. I'm not against the idea of keeping Aquilani at all, think he could be very good for us with the right set up around him. Glad to see Insua is still there too!
That video of the lads back at Melwood was class. Spearing is tiny and Carroll is a beast of a man!
Ahh, good to be back- I hate capped internet...
FSG Favour moving away from Anfield - The Times [Back page pic]
Is it just me or does Kenny never shave for the first pic with new players??

LFC: Liverpool have been heavily linked with a lot of players. This is our second signing. How happy are you with how things are going in this transfer window?
Comolli: We are very pleased because the two signings we've done were absolute priorities on our list. When you go into a transfer window you always have X number of targets, and it's very rare you get all of them. We're lucky we've got two of our priorities. That's good, and I'm sure there'll still be a lot of movement, especially going out but also, hopefully, a few more coming in.
Hopefully we're all on the same page with the ones going out...

What number is Adam gonna get? Yeah, hopefully.. Be good to get a couple more players in and get rid of some of the deadwood in the squad. All promising stuff though.
Not sure he'll keep that yet. I assume 10 & 11 will also be up for grabs come the end of the transfer?
