Oh and I've just downloaded the latest Anfield Wrap podcast. Rafa was in the house! 40min of chatting football and Montse's charities. Can't wait to listen!

joke

I was just thinking(Re Nino buying a Lucas top) ....who is your favourite player at the mo? I think mine is Reina. If you had to.... would you buy a strip with Reina on it? Or would you buy a goalie shirt?
over 14 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
For me Jose, he's playing well, no fuss.

saw this on trade me the other day. And yes I would buy a goalkeepers shirt rather than a normal shirt you dont see many people with them!

Sweet shirt! Not a fan of the LFC lettering font tho...

Big, BIG game this weekend! Everyone fit, genuine selection dilemma for Kenny although I have a feeling he'll have this match very much planned and he'll know exactly who he needs and where.

Choices:

Kelly or Johnson?
Agger or Skrtel
Henderson or Adam or Gerrard or Kuyt?

My pick:

           Reina
Johnson Carra Agger Enrique
           Lucas
Kuyt    Gerrard Downing
       Suarez Carroll

Kelly
Bellamy
Maxi
Henderson
Skrtel
Adam
Doni

Looking for Bellamy to impact off the bench and thought this was the sort of match that Maxi can be effective too.

my guess

            Reina
Kelly carra skrtel enrique
       Adam Lucas
Kuyt       Gerrard    downing
              Suarez

Anyone else get the feeling Suarez was deliberately trying to get himself punched in the head just now? Tense stuff!

yeah somethings gonna happen, thanks mr giggs for moving in the wall!
over 14 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
We really should've won, first half was fairly drab, second was much better. We created so many good chances, De Gea was decent but still should be finishing. Playing some great football though.

Both Carra and Skrtel lost their markers on Hernandez's goal, disappointing, they were good otherwise, but I'd always be happy to take on an attack of Park, Wellbeck and Young every time we play them.

First half terrible. Great assist from Giggs though.

Shame about the result there. We should have had 3 points. Thought we outplayed them everywhere, good team effort by everyone.

me too. finding it hard to believe at the moment, but we'll wait and see I guess. If Evra is lying again, hope he gets hit with a ban.

Either Suarez OR Evra are going to get in a lot of trouble for this I hope.

Didnt Evra say there was video evidence?

You would think if there was we would have seen it by now...

- Suarez denied any abuse and fought to clear his name.
- Sky Sports found no footage that supports Evra.
- It emerged that referee Andre Marriner did not hear any of the alleged 10 racist comments.
- While supporting their player, United are leaving the matter to the France left back.

Evra talking out the wrong hole...

Read somewhere that Evra has claimed this 3 times in the past and nothing has been proven each time?

Good to hear the Hillsborough debate has gone so well! Apparently some incredible speeches in there. Once I get this fking assignment done I'll check them out. Expose the lies before Thatcher dies.

JOnes is apparently w**king on about Charlie and the free kick , claiming he dived.

Scum. That is all.

RE Hillsborough , worst day of my life.Hopefully the 96 get the justice they deserve.

Fellas,
Excuse the rambling-just watched and re-watched the speeches ; and I'm breaking a common sense rule- don't post when pissed.

I was working in Exeter in 1989. Hillsborough was my first ever LFC game , home or away.Went up with some colleagues from work . I was SO excited.
The crowd was in a good mood , sure some of us had had a warmup but certainly well behaved. We were in such a good mood and so looking forward to the day.I don't know what happened but all of a sudden it went completely tits up. F...ing gates colllapsed , a group of us got pushed forward and under seats.Seemed like forever to get up then  , christ , I can't describe what we saw.And the noise- screaming , crying, yelling.I won't ever forget it.
We managed to get up and saw bodies on the pitch  , in the stand.I could barely breath , it hurt so much    but we went to help if we could ( I'm in the profession , so to speak).Spent God knows how much time doing CPR on anyone we could find. Saved 4 or 5 , don't remember , lots more we couldn't help.A group of us carted people away on anything we cou d find  , just to get them away from the carnage.Middle of pitch was safe enough.f**king police were as useless as tits on a bull.
We kept going until we just ran out of energy; didn't know what else to do.Eventually we wandered away.Dunno how many people we walked out; I figured we couldn't help the dead or dying so we ended up concentrating on the less badly injured.I'm still in contact with one of the guys who was there; we still wonder if we made the right calls but , who knows?
A couple of things stick with me; Kenny was just immense in the aftermath. He was hurting but was calm , dignified and was always  there. At hospital , at the club , at homes- just a legend.Absolute class that man , love him to bits.
Second , when that c**t Duckerfield came out and blamed the fans- I could quite happily have stabbed the prick if I'd met him. There was NONe of that , absolutely none.
Third , when that arswipe Mackenzie came out with his bile , I couldn't believe it.The boys did everything they could do to help , spent hours carrying people to ambulances ..and for that sh*t to come out with the bollocks...I've never looked at his rag or looked at the site since then.

Anyhoo , sorry for the ramblings.I'm finding today a bit hard so off to the beach with a bottle to think and cry.

THanks for listening those of you who made it to the end.
Cheers guys.

Powerful stuff, Jazzman. I sincerely hope that this debate brings justice to dead, and peace of mind, and vindication, to the survivors. YNWA.

[QUOTE=Jazzman]

No way in a million years is that rambling. It just proves yet again that absolute utter gobsh*te of a man Duckenfield, the Police and yet to be named scum who from 15:05 on that fateful day did all they could to cover their own lilly white ass. If that's not enough, Kelv*n Fn M*kenzie and his media cronies tried to profit from innocent deaths.

Justice is coming...

Saw the first half, that put me off watching the second half.

Maxi looked okay, no one else did themselves any favours for selection this weekend(from what I saw).
