Great call by commentator on Torres - "Lots of highlights in his hair, but not many on the pitch."

The Racist Derby was quite a decent match from a neutral perspective (well, I just didn't want Chelsea to win as I think they are eminently catchable).

Two homes losses in a row for Chelsea for the first time in 9.5 years...

Great result lads. Brilliant interpassing for first goal , Glen J take a bow for the second!!
Roman will be really really pissed
AVB on the way out??
Jr doesn't know yet , still asleep. He'll be realy stoked.He picked Maxi to start , wanted Bellers to play next to Luis.

HUGE result, stoked for you lads! 4th is only separated by GD!

Kenny Dalglish - when asked about Chelsea's team selection and he replied that he had enough trouble picking his own sqaud rather than worry about another teams.

Classy and funny as ever.

How many times does Hendo have to do really well playing in the middle coming on as a sub to earn a start there...
21 Nov 19:05 · edited 09 Sep 05:02
Agree totally on this one, I really dont see him as a wide player. When he came on against chelsea he did do well but I wasn't too sure where he was ment to be playing! Maybe Kenny said just run about son!

Great result yesterday! Always knew there would be a winner for either side at about the 75min mark, it just didn't look like it would end in a draw. Good stuff starting with Maxi and Bellars, they did a great job. Skrtl was really good at the back and puts a lot of pressure on Carra now.

I thought we missed Stevie early in the second, when they scored and piled the pressure on. Just needed his steadying hand a bit but the lads did well to hold off.

It's going to be such a tight season, all will be decided on goals. Who gets them and who keeps them out.

Bring on Citeh!

Great game to watch, that. Lucas was a beast in midfield, unfortunately for us Hart was a beast in the goal for them...
27 Nov 17:59 · edited 09 Sep 05:02
Agree with that totally, lucas was amazing! just needed one of those half chances to go in! Pretty good team performance thou!
27 Nov 18:03 · edited 09 Sep 05:02
Also Kenny getting in there at the end to shake hands with mancini and gesturing about balotelli throwing out his dummy! now just to find that gif!

I  Lucas.

Given what Citeh have done to some teams this season we can't really be disappointed. Funny enough though, I'm a little gutted we lost. Another stunning spell from a visiting keeper the difference.

All of our of lads were great today. Team work.

I am trying to get a couple of tickets to a match at Anfield, as a favour to the guy who took me to see Ajax play recently.  Does anyone have any ideas what the best way for me to get these is?  I had a quick look at the website and it seems to only sell packages, and not just a single ticket, and I have already had to become an Arsenal member to get a ticket to one game there - don't want to have to do the same with Liverpool if I can help it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

You could try these guys Official NZ LFC fan club they have direct links with the club and ticketing.

Try twitter?
@JimBoardman
@LFCTransferSpec
@BrianDurand56
@empireofthekop

All well connected Reds who regular help put the feelers out for tickets. "Kiwi in need of tickets... etc".

Call the Stadium ticket office: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/travel/first-time-to-anfield/match-tickets Again, I've heard the "Kiwi traveller in desperate need of a ticket" has worked before.

Lucas off with a dicky knee- hopefully OK but unclear at mo'.
2 thoughts re Lucas
1.is he our most important player currently( I know about Luis obviously but I think it's becoming increasingly difficult to overstate how influential Lucas is becoming)
2.Could he be our next captain?

Just regarding lucas.....wasnt long along when when single pool fan hated him.....not a dig just saying

go gunners

30 Nov 02:32 · edited 09 Sep 05:02
Yep , fair point but he has come through a fairly dodgy start to his EPL career to ( IMO) being almost first name on the team sheet .More power to the lad for overcoming the boo boys

Just speculation on my part- Gerro won't last forever and a bit of succession planning is always fun.
ANother name I'll toss out for the future  arm band is Kelly. A long way to go there but very very promising.

Yeah some fans did not rate him, but most hardcore LFC supporters knew he was a good buy.

30 Nov 09:52 · edited 09 Sep 05:02
I'll hold my hand up there and say I didn't rate him. Never forget how angry I was when he gave a pen away, against wigan when we were so so close to catching utd in 08 - 09. But full credit to him since mash left he has really stepped up and turned into an absolute rock in the midfield.

I'm sure there are loads of supporters out there that have one or two players in their team that they don't rate personally, but if they can turn it around good on them and the coaching staff.

Could well be our next captain, the more I think about it the better the fit appears to be.

Atm yes I agree, will be interesting to see if lucas is injured who fills in there and how they go.

Agreed. Kept saying at the time, you don't become U-21 captain of Brazil without having something about you. So proud that he's proving people wrong. Sounds bad about his knee though, which is the last thing we need. Such a class player. Glad I got Lucas 21 on my shirt

Bellamy was awesome against Chelsea. He did Gary proud. So sad to see him getting teary before kick off. Immense. A great photo of Kenny hugging him as he comes off, and full credit to the away fans for singing "One Gary Speed" when Bellamy was subbed.

Chelsea fans are c**ts for booing Lucas when he was taken off on a stretcher. What an absolute joke, makes me sick.

Great result though, and happy with that! Roll on Palace in the semis

City away. Good luck with that.

Bugger, City in the semis will be tough. We can do it though!

Congrats to Cardiff and especially Palace though, big achievement from both of them.

Will be good to meet them in the final!

Bring it Citeh! We always play best when we've got our backs to the wall. We won't back down.

On Lucas, I raise my hand. I wasn't convinced in the early days but fortunately the kids got balls and he's proved me wrong. Don't mind saying it at all and now I'm as loyal as any. Lucas is boss. He's going to be missed more than we know and wouldn't be surprised if he's out for the season we'll go shopping in Jan.

It looks like we play Citeh 3x in Jan, 2x FA Cup, Stoke and Wolves. Feb is Spurs, United, Everton, Aresnal in row or something crazy like that.

Tbf about the whole Lucas thing he was playing sh*te at the start. Although that will generally happen with a kid playing a NEW role in a foreign country. Lucky for us his class and strength of character shone through. Really gutted for him atm.

Lets hope spearo can step up to the plate, he's more than capable imo (I assume thats what will happen?)...we may even see Stevie playing a defensive role when(if) he returns.

Where's the hardcore RAWK crew, it's not a red banner, with white text! Take it down

On Lucas, I always backed him, mainly because when he came over he was Brazilian player of the year, U21 Captain and mentioned as the next star of the Gremio line after Ronaldinho.

jono recalled, talk of lucas being out for the rest of the season.

I guess we're about to find out just how important Lucas is to Liverpool.

Edit: just saw the stat that since the beginning of the 2010/11 season you have won 48% with him starting and 29% without.

Could be a tough month or so until you get in a proper replacement. And I don't mean recalling:
