We really did dodge a bullet over the weekend: the only teams around us to win were City and Tottenham - and we can open up the gap with City again when we play them next weekend.

What time is the derby on in NZ? I've worked it out to 13:45 Sunday, is that right? (I want to see City smash the rags)

An afternoon game in New Zealand? That'd be nice!

1:45am Sunday is correct.

Is that aimed at my low intelligence or the fact you don't have high regard for the team I like? Either way, I reject your assertion(s)...  Cosimo2011-02-11 13:58:24

City seem to be up for some attack, so should make for an entertaining match. Silva is looking in the mood.

Pretty even game. Poor defending for Citys goal.
Rooney's goal the major difference between the sides.
What a stike, but Nani's goal was also great.
If I was a City supporter I would be gutted that they have spent so much money on some players that are not good enough to be there.

Yeah, I voted for that goal to win. CR7 won it for his cannon against Porto.

Gibson starting?

Oh no.

Pretty shiat game.

But yes, at the risk of getting completely proven wrong by SAF, I think we've waited on Gibson long enough.

We did not play our best.I'm happy with a draw as they never looked like scoring. I don't think Gibson will be there next season.
At least we are at home next game unlike another side who will probably get flogged.

still a bit of work to do in that tie though, especially if marseille can get a goal.

think you will probably get through without to much drama though

I see some fans of other clubs are pleading Chelsea to win tomorrow. Says a lot when you have to rely on others to be successful.
Won't be able to watch the game as I have an early start.
Would be happy with a draw.

So if Arsenal were 4 points clear of Man Utd and playing Chelsea tomorrow would you want Arsenal to win? Don't think so.

Three for me, and two for them.

Perhaps not,but as I don't support either I would not really care who won, and I sure as hell would not get on another fans thread and wish them luck.

i think you would.
its natural to hope those teams challenging you lose so as to enhance the chance of your own team winning the title.

well for any team to win the title it does require other teams to lose. unless of course you won all your games or something silly like that.

Fact: All things in recent week aside, Luiz should have walked.

At the time we were meant to be play this fixture I said that his would happen. At the time the fixture was meant to be played, Chelsea were in the middle of their horror run of form/results and it would have been the perfect time to travel to Stamford Bridge. They have since bought Torres and David Luiz who obviously made an impact today and if the game had been played at the right time then United would have won. Bad luck United.
