Bad day at the office, as Vancouver FC lose 0-4 at home to bottom team Halifax.
Even worse Halifax went down to ten men at 68 mins (0-2)!

Dyer a full game for Vancouver.

Dyer starts.
Edit - is 1-1 at HT

Edit 2 - Dyer off at 63 mins (1-1) in a 2-1 win. One of two subs at 63 mins.

No Dyer in a 3-3 draw. Vancouver down to 10 men at 53 mins (leading 2-1).

Looks like Dyer was suspended for this game - 5 yellows accumulated.

No Dyer. He's injured, but almost fit apparently.

Oli Bassett (ex Tee Dubs) starts for Ottawa. Bassett only 2 goals this season to date, after being joint winner of the CPL's Golden Boot last season with Myer Bevan.

Dyer has 4 this season, with GB leader on 7 goals.
Jordan Swibel (ex Sydney FC) has 5.

Edit - Ottawa spank Vancouver FC 3-0

What is happening with Myer Bevan?

What is happening with Myer Bevan?

Good question. Rumour is his Kiwi partner didn't want to stay in Canada any longer, and he's followed her back to Auckland. They recently had a kid I believe??

No doubt he's hoping to get a gig with Auckland FC, but if that doesn't transpire, it's Northern League football I guess.

He was contracted with his Canadian team Cavalry until the end of this year. Maybe Auckland FC are saying we will look at you after that. We ain't paying a transfer fee. Or it's simply that they are chasing better players, eg visas for their striker positions. Of course they already have Mata.

Read somewhere him & his partner (ex model??) are 'influencers' so maybe that's Plan B.

Dyer 1 of 2 subs bought on at HT (0-0), but then Vancouver immediately concede to be behind 0-1.

Edit - finishes a 1-1 draw

No Dyer for Vancouver.

Jesse Daley (ex Roar) on the bench for Cavalry. And also no Myer Bevan. Seems he definitely ain't going back to Canada.

Edit - Vancouver lose 0-1

No Dyer in a 1-0 win.

Dyer sounds like he's on the move to fellow CPL rivals Pacific FC.

He started the season off in solid fashion with a few goals, but they've since dried up. Seems to have drifted in and out of the Vancouver squad over the past several weeks as well.

Pacific FC  are based in Victoria, Vancouver Island. Big student city, and the famously beautiful Butchart Gardens if Moses is into flowers & shrubs.

Would be his 4th club (CPL-USL-CPL) in the last 3 seasons.

Yipe he's changed clubs.

On at HT for Pacific (0-3) in a 0-3 loss to Atletico Ottawa.
Finishes a 0-3 loss.

Bonus game for Dyer by joining Pacific. They are in the Canadian Championship semi finals against Vancouver Whitecaps. Whitecaps 1-0 up after the first leg in Victoria. 2nd leg next week in Vancouver.

So we might see Dyer match up against Finn Linder and/or Jay Herdman. I'm guessing the Whitecaps (5th in the West) might rest a few first teamers as the MLS gets down to it's final stages pre the playoffs.

No Dyer, as Pacific concede in added time to lose 1-0.

Edit - sounds like Pacific may have rested a few players before 2nd leg of their Canadian Championship semi final at Vancouver Whitecaps this week.

Be interesting to see if either Herdman or Linder feature for the Whitecaps who are 1-0 up after leg 1.

Unfortunately no Dyer for Pacific at BC Place.
And ditto for the Whitecaps, no Herdman or Linder.

Edit - Whitecaps win 1-0 (2-0 on agg).

Dyer a full game as Pacific lose 2-0 at Forge.
He's playing more as a 10 it seems at his new club, than the striker role he had at Vancouver FC.

Got the 3rd goal in a 3-0 win. Halifax finished the game with 9 men. Send offs at 43 & 74 mins.

Edit - was named MOTM. He's actually on loan at Pacific from Vancouver, in one of those weird Nth American football arrangements

Yipe Vancouver FC do let loanee Dyer play in the BC derby and he makes them pay with Pacific's 2nd goal, in a 3-0 win for the team from Victoria.

Aggressive fearless diving header. Off at 85 mins (3-0)

Dyer starting for Pacific, with HFX down to 10 men at 31 mins in.

Liking his new club. 3rd goal in only 5 starts at Pacific, to make it 1-1.

Pacific then go behind but grab a very late equaliser for 2-2. Full game Moses.

"Dyer is the Goat"
New club and definitely the right fit. Dude can't stop scoring, his 4th goal in 5 starts at Pacific in a 1-1 draw. Good hang time. MOTM.

Niche Cache.

Moses Dyer: “What I bring, everyone knows: directness, energy, and hopefully the ability to help the team get back into winning ways, because it is a winning team. I can’t really say what’s gone wrong for them before I came in because every time we played against them it felt like they got just unlucky. They had chances.”

Dyer starts for Pacific against Valour in Winnipeg.

For Valour Tass Mourdoukoutas (ex WSW) starts and Jordan Swibel (ex WSW & SFC) on the bench.

Edit - Dyer full game & a yellow in a 1-0 loss.
Pacific remain 5th (a playoff spot), with 3 regular season games left, but the 3 teams below them in the 8 team CPL are all within 2 points.

Four goals in four consecutive games sees Dyer take Player of the Month for September in the Canadian Premier League.
