I haven't read his comments but I am one of the most liberal of people around when it comes to immigration. You sure as fudge however shouldn't be able to buy a house here unless you are a resident of this country.

Have looked at it and it is crap. Says we should build apartments on the main road 2km down the way. Only problem is that the local school is bursting at the seams and can't take any more kids. Does the plan mention a new school - no. More people in the area means more kids, unless you agree with the Chinese one child policy?

Plenty of housing development opportunities further out too.

There was a proposal for medium density housing in K-Town a while back.  Good idea I think.  No frikken gardens to waste money on and higher density population means services are more affordable/cost effective.

Actually - why can't you eat kereru?  A Marlborough/Nelson winery was keen on the idea a few years back - farming them in bush reserve and then serving them up with a cheeky Merlot.

I've been saying this for years! The best way to ensure a species won't go extinct is to farm it - if they taste as delicious as they are supposed to I'm sure there'd be a market for their meat.

YES! Then we could get a brilliant wider range of MEAT to eat as well :D (I regularly get into debates about why one animal is ok to eat, but another is not...people don't seem to get it :P)
