No comment on the biggest transfer of the season AW82? Just another wee Coastal question?  Funny that.

In answer to your question we are playing the first few games away from home until we get our fields sorted.

Why do you think I need to comment.

Cos surely that's bigger news than a field change? Or do you only take pot shots at us?

Because Ca$hTech pay him not to do it to them? I mean clearly they pay everyone else, so why not the newsmen as well. Did AW82 or anyone from Ca$hTech feature in the Panama Papers by chance? ;)

You can ascertain what your opponent is afraid of by observing the means by which he attempts to frighten you

My question about Cuthberts Green was asked because I am aware for several other clubs having issues with the conditions of pitches due to poor (or the lack of maintainance) by the council, nothing more nothing less.

Shushy6 I do not have enough assests to worry about trying to hide them in any off-shore tax dodge, also can state I can never received payment from any club. But if Coastal think I can be brought off willing to talk the next time I see you on the sidelines as there is a high chance I will be looking for new employment in the next month or two.

Sorry to hear that. Which clubs do media well?

All MPL/WPL clubs have a website and FB page but how often are they being updated and what is their audience like?

When looking at publicly available info (on current club pages - some have old and/or multiple pages still out there), here are some interesting stats, correct at time of writing, but apolgies if I'm looking at wrong pages or twitter feeds.

All FB pages seem active, with the exception of Western.

Given the relative size of some of these clubs, some interesting results.

MPL

Bays - 313 Facebook page likes; Twitter - 14 followers, last updated Jan 2013

Cashmere - 535 FB page likes; Twitter - 49 followers; last updated Oct 2015

Coastal - 865 FB page likes; Twitter - 257 followers, last updated today

FC2011 - 835 FB page likes; Twitter - none found

Halswell - 640 FB page likes; Twitter - none found

Nelson Suburbs - 784 FB page likes; Twitter - none found

UC Football - 1,428 FB page likes; Twitter - 71 followers, last updated today

Western - No active FB page; Twitter - 22 followers; last update Jan 2012

WPL clubs

Parklands - 439 FB page likes; Twitter - 44 followers; last updated last week

Waimak - 862 FB page likes; Twitter - 88 followers; last update today

Tasman - 142 FB page likes; Twitter - none found (there is a twitter account for the national league entry, but they aren't tweeting about WPL team)

I'd just like to say I've been out of the closet for quite some time. Ask my boyfriends.

And no board members here that I know of.

And here I was thinking that AW82 was part of the 'coastal' group of bloggers. Maybe when I joined it was mostly coastal ones so just assumed

Hey 10cc, do you have a link? I could only find something that is 2 years out of date?

Can't find any clubs using insta regularly yet.

I saw Mainland posted a video interview of the 2 coaches after last Friday night's game; hopefully that will be a regular feature. Good work Andrew.

Selwyn do a great job I like their youtube interviews, something I'd like to do.

I looked into instagram but probably won't, I think Facebook, website and twitter are plenty.

Snapchat is great but it's mainly used for dickpicks.

Found it. Search SUFC, not Selwyn United, or click on the handy link on their website, doh.

The kids use #insta an awful lot, more so than they will ever use twitter.

Can you please get Meysum's name correct...I've seen it spelt so many different ways and it's been incorrect on team sheet, programme and Facebook postings...all different spellings..all incorrect!   It's spelt MEYSUM SHAFAHI..(IAW Google..)

If it's wrong on the teamsheet educate the management team!

I completely agree.

Which is exactly why Mainland also get it wrong on their Facebook postings because they go off the team sheets.

Permalink Permalink
almost 10 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History

Which surely leaves 1 set of people to ensure spell it right then! No-one else to blame but the management.

Wonder if someone appealed the name on the teamsheet they could claim he isn't registered ;) Does seem ludicrous but you never know!
