Respectability of this forum has gone down hill real quick! Cash Tech seem too scared to ever write anything (hiding in the dark after a hurendous loss Tuesday night). Also way too much Coastal talk. Wang Chan, Bumblebee & Train is a threesome in the making! I wish Whitey never left us ? Supporting him murphy and dando was good times. #welovemurphy #giveusagoal #Everton! #incoooommming

by dando is that the guy that plays up front? If so biggest whinger in the mpl, add to it one of the worst strikers around. Is Ferrymead going to get that 4th spot, is that a below par season?

Yup that's him! I agree he does and yes his good years are well and truly gone. But he still plays for the team I love! #welovemurphy #goeverton as for finishing spot in the league, big game tomorrow away to FC. One which will determine who finishes 4th I believe! Also big game for Halligan, a loss could see the exit doors at the end of the season. Brownie could see a big $$ over the summer or even Ekow a.k.a 'The Messiah'.

Haswell or uni for relegation? Two players from uni playing for the dragons now. So getting relegated is a bit embarrassing for uni and for canterbury i feel

Cash Tech are probably worried that if they stick their head up they might bump it on the overhead compartment (which should be kept closed during the flight, by the way).

You can ascertain what your opponent is afraid of by observing the means by which he attempts to frighten you

Im always at the Coastal games mate. I'm not with the incrowd so you won't find me standing with the all knowing Train n his mates.

We all should catch up and introduce ourselves. I'm the good looking one, and I'll be wearing a tuxedo with a red carnation. I also like long walks on the beach.

Wayne's not President anymore so you don't have to copy all his style moves bro

Agreed bishop! But I feel as though Uni will end up a few points clear of eventual losers halswell! Finally no one will have to travel out to that horrible pitch! Bishop you making an appearance at our game vs FC tomorrow? Bringing your " Halligan out " banner? Come talk if you do make it down #goeverton #welovemurphy

Who's your source? They have no chance, struggling since the minute they signed their keeper! Been relegated every team he has been at last few years! We could make a force together with you banter and my hooliganism! The Chang brothers would have nothing on us ?

But in saying that, I don't think anyone could have saved Chch Utd last year! Rumours of the Russian wanting to buy out the club and operate his academy under 'Christchurch United'- could all start falling into place for his pipe dream of an a-league side

The Italian striker is cleared but the Hawks are still waiting on the clearance of their German defender. Anton McMahon is back from offshore as well so would expect him to play today.

Nomads number 15 scored the goal with a top strike and finished the game seeing Red [2 yellow cards] for gobbing it.

Nomads had six players out from what I've seen in other games. Case of job done well before this game.

Selwyn good for the 3 points on the day looked the better team and played some good football.

Both sides had chances and each clipping the bar.  Nomads edged the more clear chances with a couple of scrambles by Selwyn keeper keeping the ball out.

The game got a bit scrap happy late on and the ref didn't help himself keep a lid on it, needed to be more vocal in some instances and just lost the flow it had in the first half.  Would have been a good game for Iian Glover to have watched and noted.

A vast amount for Nomads to do before the start of next seasons MPL.

Dug outs could move to the other side as the wind was blowing strong down the side thay are on and well sheltered on the tree side.

Missed you at our big game today archbishop! Unfortunate for our legendary keeper to get sent off but we were the better team Rak and won comfortably! The banners are now changing to "keep Halligan on". The way he told the players to change the game today was amazing! Since whitey left we have a new favourite! Fraser Angus ! He is brilliant, fantastic footballer, scoring on and off the field for fun! #littleevertonisstillmyfavourite #halliganisgod #techaregettinglucky

Train haven't heard from you yet? Thought you'd be jizzing with Messiah over the 3 points. Fair play you keep winning but Tech a.k.a One man team - Clapham keep beating you, so I guess we will see who's going to be having a party in a few weeks? The train to be derailed?? Plane vs Train.. Who wil win?

We get hassled for too much Coastal chat and you guys are debating the position of dugouts in Div 1.

Go figure.

CCL as Div 1 is another league entirely ? And it'll affect Coastal and the rest of the MPL next year so has some relevance ?

In terms of the dugouts have no idea. Don't go over the side of the trees sorry.

Back to the game I think Nomads do have lots to do before the MPL next yr. The comment by their players during the game was get through the 1st half and then they will 'have the wind' which will make their hoofball style easier. For a team with players who can all play, some of the directness used was eye opening. Especially with no pressure from Selwyn.

I know Selwyn took on board comments from their coach last time when he let us know he instructed Nomads to play 'hard' against us. Well he got a team of 9 of the players aged 19 or under playing hard against him and it wasn't liked. The nomads captain lost his shark and got himself a 2nd yellow for backchat to the ref. The number 11 also got carded for constant backchat infringements. This is against a team of kids. Got to be better against the 'big boys'.

Looking objectively I think the ref did ok. I think he missed a yellow card for a Selwyn player kicking the ball away after an offside whistle, but overall didn't get involved with any chat. Just refereed the game in front of him. Plain ignored the heated comments he was getting from the nomads bench too.

Can't comment on nomads missing several players. Didn't see our hungry Irish friend out there bit recognised most others. I think at this time of the season most teams run into niggles etc. Selwyn had 12.5 fit players for this game and lost one of them 10 minutes in. We may not normally have so many young players in the squad but it is how it fell.

Looking forward to seeing Nomads again in 2 weeks time

Player of the MPL and friend to many other players in the league from different clubs - just want to say it comes as no surprise that Coastal are performing to such high levels week in week out when it seems the entire squad have a tight bond on and off the pitch. I see them most weekends in town after their usual win and the atmosphere/aura they have with each other is second to none. In terms of being a tight knit team, they lead that race hands down. Also nice to see they party with Bays and Western boys too - seems the lads are much more likeable than the arrogance and big time nature of other top MPL clubs. I think if all players in Canterbury were asked to play for a club of their choice right now a vast majority would say Coastal due to their high moral, tight af cohesion, attacking free flowing style of football, and also hearing the level of tactical awareness and astuteness from the manager is head and shoulders above the rest. Such a close run-in to the end of the season and it's beyond clear who the city want as champions.

spoken like a true Coastal player! But well done and good on you, why not jump on the train. Its kiwi nature to jump on a bandwagon! Interesting game in Nelson today, can Uni get something to ease the tension, 3 points should be enough, one will make it difficult for halswell. All to play for across the league in coming weeks

keep trying! I've no affiliation to any club, just a football fan and I try to watch a diff team each week.. Your response shows immaturity so again you give yourself away as a young coastal player based on the games I've seen. Your acronym? Chubby, perhaps your keeper he's bit on large size! But as I said jump on the train, your doing well and fair play. Good for the league!
