Fair call actually. But its still a farce of a game, considering the opposition man utd are playing aren't exactly A league all stars. The concept is flawed. But it still cool for some that man utd are coming over. Hopefully they put out a decent team.
In retrospect do you think a game vs Sydney FC would have been better? I'm off to the Victory v Liverpool game next week and the more the All Stars fell apart before they had even started, the more I was glad that the Liverpool game wasn't following the same flawed concept.
People complaining of the strength of the all stars but the tards are going to be without IIRC Thompson, Milligan, Coe and Nichols to Aus (their EAFF cup squad to be finalised this week) as well as I think Traore and Finkler still being injured, no more Rojas and Flores and no major signing to replace Flores yet.
And like Tegal said, due to players from across the league in the all stars team, in our case Ifill (and to a lesser extent AW McGlinchey), my interest in that game is greater than the tards v liverpool game. FFA have made changes to standard player contracts so all stars selection is given same priority as international selection - future teams won't be as nerfed
And to further add to MVFC woes against Liverpool Connor Pain is also in the Socceroo squad. All 5 tards confirmed today. So all stars > tards b/nyl team
