Buffon II
Auckland will still win the league.

Would take an epic implosion for them not too.

Roar really need to kill off this game, they are well on top. 1-0
01 Mar 07:59
Omg, that is so cruel for Brisbane. 1-1 (Checking VAR)
01 Mar 08:00
Goal stands. Roar pay the price for so many missed chances, including one about a minute before the equalizer!  1-1
01 Mar 08:01
Roar will now pass 1 year without a Home win.

Sydney do the business vs Macarthur, 0-2
01 Mar 14:34
Those were their original colours
AucklandPhoenix
The roar away kit with orange shorts, white socks and blue tops looks like some fast food franchise uniform

1-1 after 13 mins in the WSW v PER match
02 Mar 07:46
4-1.  Must be nice for Kraev and Al-Taay to be in a winning team
02 Mar 09:18
Every time I watch WSW this season it reminds me of how big of a loss Kraev is

I know this isn't A-league but...

Preston Lions vs South Melbourne just concluded and that was a great watch. Absolutely packed, great atmosphere, and some ok football. Ended 2-0 to Preston which makes this their first win over South at home since 1986 so good for them. According to the commentators 9,036 people were at the grounds so this might genuinely be the biggest match of the round

I was watching this game too, it was an enjoyable watch. You could clearly see it meant a lot to both teams.

Enjoyed the audacity of the Preston player to go for the panenka!

And the A League would rather create soul less franchises in Australia that nobody has any passion for, instead of letting some of these established clubs in.

07 Mar 20:14
The issue is that the APL doesn't want another Western or another Macarthur, they want another Auckland. They want a club that comes in making waves immediately, getting massive crowds, getting great results, and bringing in new viewership.

And while these big NPL clubs can definitely compete fanbase wise with our smaller clubs, they just won't make the splash Auckland did. So basically until the APL lowers their standards and expectations these NPL/Championship clubs are unfortunately never getting in.
07 Mar 21:32
There may also be another reason thry dont allow some of the established clubs in. That is they dont want the issues that they had in the previous competition wrh clubs clashing along ethnic lines.
It wasnt much fun attending some of those games the levels of abuse and threatening behaviour was stupid at times.

Woof, what a way to score your first goal. Harry Crawford puts Adelaide up 1-0 just before half time.

Vuck leading CCM 2 nil.

Finished 3-0. Mariners suck as much as the Nix this season.

Not surprising that we have adopted their strategy of developing youth to sell and joining them on the roller coaster of that experience.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Allowed to have a bad season when you have won back to back championships

Who else is pumped to watch AFC race towards a NZ teams first siliverware this evening?!
09 Mar 05:54
Mata out of the match day squad. Presumably injured. Randall starts.
Jonty Bidois onto the pine. Would like to see him get some mins.

I heard somewhere that Corica said Mata is out for 2 weeks - cant find where I saw that though

Newcastle draw first blood - great strike

Holy shark! AFC concede first, never thought I would see that again this season.

Still a long way to go unfortunately.
09 Mar 06:19
Penalty Jets!
09 Mar 06:19
Weird how he hasn’t picked Verstratae again. He’s easily been one of the best players in the league this season.

Three for me, and two for them.

09 Mar 06:20
Paulsen saves, 1-0
09 Mar 06:21
Well saved.

Poor penalty really, nowhere near the post
09 Mar 06:22
Randell offside, denying AFC an equaliser. 1-0
09 Mar 06:23
Well this game has had a bit of everything so far! A goal, a saved penalty and a ruled out goal - and we're only 20 odd mins in
09 Mar 06:29
Where's Brimmer? He's doing f.a. Bring on Verstraete.
09 Mar 06:38
Randell onside this time, 1-1
09 Mar 06:41
Well done Randall, has been very good so far

Newcastle were delaying at the back and losing momentum
