This game and the last game really show you how important max mata is for Auckland fc, they are waaay more threatening with him. He is underrated imo

Like the Perth glory defender vs us earlier this season. Like a player malfunctioning on fifa/Fc.

He still has a ton to work on to be up to ALM level. I'm not saying that he won't make it, just that he isn't there yet.
Earlier this season I compared him to a young LA Rose. It took him awhile to get there but he did.

Ends 2-2. That keeps the door slightly ajar for the chasing pack.

The snakes do Newcastle tonight then we have a chance for AFC not to win the league this season which would be ideal.

to be fair to FdV, the setting sun was very much right in his eyes. Wouldn't happen in a proper stadium. Still could have done a lot better obviously but there are mitigating circumstances, the Perth guy had no such excuse Banzai!...AIEEE!!!

Kinda funny how AFC haven't won since smashing us, it's like by beating us, we've placed a bit of a curse on them at the moment for winning games.

There’s no excuse. He’s a professional footballer and it is shark defending.
Three for me, and two for them.

Western to win the league.
Auckland bottling it massively and still have Sydney, Victory and Western away.

They are a good side. Three home matches for them in the run in verses two for Auckland.
You wouldn’t bet against them.
Crucially the last game at the season they play AFC at home.
That will likely be the deciding game on who wins the plate.

What WU are doing to the Jets make our 4-1 last week look less bad, at least. Come on Western United you can catch Auckland

0-5. This sucks for Jets fans, they have been playing really well recently.

And there it is. 5-2 at #NEWvWUN, and the 30th goal of the round — equalling the @aleaguemen record!

Will it be broken before this game ends?
Will it be broken during #SYDvWEL?
Will nothing happen for the next 110 mins of football and disappoint us all?

Apparently Auckland fans were singing ‘It’s a long way back to Aussie when you’re sh€$^%.’ at 2-1. They don’t lack confidence. But if they don’t win this season after this…it’ll be a hard fall.
