Who got sent off for Sydney, and why?
Was their Keeper

CCM beat a 10 man Sydney 2-1 & Victory ease to a 2-0 win over the Glory.

Goalkeeper, for a poor challenge well outside the box.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

I often wonder "why does Sydney continue using Redmayne?" he's not bad or anything but I feel like a club like Sydney could always do better. That definately explains it lmao. They finally experiment with a different keeper and he does that.

Where was this Adelaide last season when we needed them to beat CCM?

CCM big fat zero Adelaide 3

Adelaide are incredibly good.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Adelaide are incredibly good.

Are they good or have they had a very lucky draw and playing all the bad teams first up?

CCM x 2
WSW
WUN
BRI
PER
NEW

Guess the counter is they are good and are beating the teams good teams should beat.
13 Dec 23:32
Their next 6 matches are Sydney, WSW, Macarthur (running the Sydney Gauntlet lmao), the Nix, Victory, and Auckland. So I guess we're about to find out one way or another if they're actually good.

Western United looking a good side. Well organised in defence, good goalkeeper and a cutting edge in attack.

Yeah great work by Western United! 7 goal thriller - wouldn't have picked that - definitely wouldn'tve picked it in Western's favour

Well, looks like we're about to drop out of the top 6, unless the Roar can turn this around, not optimistic though given how they have been performing so far this season.

Okay Roar are still in this.

Boo! Well taken by Borrello though.
14 Dec 10:15
That was an exciting first half.
14 Dec 10:33
Second half was poor. What's up with Roar players going down like flies?
14 Dec 10:41
Disgraceful time wasting from the Roar. That was low
14 Dec 10:41 · edited 14 Dec 10:43 · History
At least that result ensures we will stay in the top 6 for another round, thank you Brisbane, not for the time wasting though.

Just saw this from the Women's A-League

This is the 2nd time already this season that the Jets Women's keeper has been sent off!

A few weeks ago it was for handling the ball well outside the box, tonight it was for taking out a player well outside the box.

Seems no need as there was already a defender there who ended up having to get out of the way to let the keeper make the challenge.

Jets keeper just seems very keen to make rash runs out of the box - must be a bit of a liability at this point to already have 2 red cards this season

Perth already down 3-0 to Newcastle at home as the 1st half ends.

Along with the players set to be moved on in January, Zdrilic heading for an early exit?

Fun fact: Newcastle, Perth and Roar have as many points (10) between them as the Nix have thus far. So things could be worse.

It must be a worry for the league though. Not sure the way crowds are etc any club can afford to fall off the pace so badly. Ideally teams should be competitive and winning at home more often than not... What a train wreck the bottom half of the table is lol

Back to back losses from Sydney to CCM and WU was not on my bingo card for this season. What do you guys reckon is the problem for Sydney? Just bad luck or CCM and WU having good nights?

They are missing a quality DM to protect the young CBs.

Didn't cost the Jets this time, they snuck a late winner. The wheels have fallen off the Sydney ALW side, which surprises me since they recruited heavily.

If they can't get a win next weekend, they'll join the New Zealand Knights in the record books for most consecutive league games without a win (19).

I'm actually quite looking forward to their match next week, Roar vs Glory - Battle for the wooden spoon

Something about the 2 teams this year makes the bottom of the table clash more interesting than usual.

If Perth don't win this or their next game and take the record all for themselves - They'll somehow make the Knights not look so bad after all! Crazy!

City are not the force they used to be but should be a good test for AFC today.

Come on City, please!

Who is McKenlay?

Another start for Elliot. Sakai to CB with Hall out.

Young tall ginger signed from Eastern Subs. Good touch & technique. Good awareness. Not a goalscorer.

Surely, this is the start of the Auckland fails…

Gillion loses the ball or misplays it counter 1 from 1.

Looks like the plan from City is to try and get at Callan Elliot. One good tackle so far.

I’m falling out of love with Gillion. Great runs, able to beat his man and all that. However, not only can he not shoot or put a good ball in, he’s unwilling to even do a normal pass to a teammate and instead ends up running into a cul de sac and getting lost. When he does try the simple pass often the timing or execution is just poor. The whole issue is decision making and compared to issues other players have it’s seemingly so simple to address.
You cant just pick and choose which laws to follow. Sure Id like to tape a baseball game without the express written consent of major league baseball, but thats just not the way it works.-Hank Hill

Gillion doing okay, but McKinelay a big step down from their Belgian. Could be a long day. Or we’ll see Smith soon and someone pushed forward?

Edit- Lol- &loyalgunner was about to give him credit because his pass found a teammate!

Anyway 1-0 to City without much fuss.

Tbf Elliot and Ginge happier going forward.

15 Dec 06:39
Poor from Gillion. Real chance to create a shot, and if not at least hold the ball up the park.
