When the second division starts up - will Kiwi's count as inports - will they have an import rule?

They do in the NPL afaik, so I would expect that to be the case

A prime reason to set up the NSD, is a belief not enough young Aussie talent is getting a crack at the ALM. So yes expect Kiwis to be treated as visa players.

But NSD clubs will be operating on a fairly tight budget, so I expect some of the better NZers in the NPL leagues will be signed up. Is still no guarantee a national NSD will actually happen yet. Could like the NZ National League, just end up an end of season playoff system of qualified clubs from the various state NPL leagues.

Really think this bloke could have been tempted over to the Nix. 😔

Perhaps the powers that be thought he might be slightly ahead of Paulsen in terms of #1 selection?

Is there anyone City 'Haven't" signed? The Chelsea of the A League. Signs 70 players and loan them back out.

They have lost a ton of first team players; Glover, Bos, Jamieson, Lam, O'Neil, van der Venne, Tilio & Berisha.

yet replaced them with seemingly better players - all under whatever the cap is this season.

Hope he does well for the ALM's reputation but I just don't rate him, he was made to look better than he is by being on the best team in the league imo.

Boro also pick up Sammy Silvera.

Guess this was what Chiefy was alluding to when we signed Lukas Kelly-Heald yesterday. Nurture them, develop them, give them minutes and reap the rewards down the line.

I wish there were more Kiwi's making these kinds of moves. Alas, hopefully we'll have a sea change in this area over the next 3-5 years when once our lads have been given some serious minutes in the league (🤞).

Think the same, but I guess time will tell in the cut throat environment that is England.

Still bloody young for a keeper at 25 too. So he's got a really long career ahead of him as well as a 4 year deal to boot to kickstart him again over there.

This off season surely has smashed the record for transfer fees by A-League clubs by miles.
