Roar snuck this into the announcement

Meanwhile, Brisbane mutually parted ways with defender Aaron Reardon.

Jamie Maclaren denied it.

Jamie Maclaren denied it.

Aussie Scouts record is very impressive, so this might be the spin the ITK person feeding info to AS wanted to put out (like with the Layouni stuff). Guess we wait and see.

Yep, I know Maclaren isn't everyone's cup of tea but he seems to have a bit of integrity and has always been pretty up front and professional. I remember when Nix out was happening and Maclaren was probably the most vocal player supporting us staying in the competition.

Don't the VUC already have 5 visas players Traoré, Da Silva, Miranda, Rai Marchán & Zinédine MachachTraoré now a naturalised Aussie?

Bringing in Khelifi make them Premiership favourites now? Installment 3 at the ROF 12th April is going to be big.

Traore got his Aussie citizenship before he left the Victory to head overseas years ago. He wanted to play for Aussie but had youth caps that blocked it.

Pretty sure this guy signed a contract extension not that long ago...

Big loss for City though. He's been very good in the heart of that Midfield/DM position. Wonder where he will pop up next...

Yeah, he signed a deal after they turned his loan into a transfer. Was gonna post this when I got home but they have beaten me to it.

Apologies if this news is already known. Any Glory players Nix can buy, in the fire sale?

https://au.sports.yahoo.com/no-qualms-controversial-alm-signing-005914292.html

The versatile Tunisian has arrived from the financially troubled Perth Glory, who were told to accept the Victory offer by Australian Professional Leagues (APL).

Anthony Radich, the chief executive of Perth, without a private owner for the past six months, railed against the APL edict.

"This decision is neither the will, nor the want of the club. It is a direct consequence of our inherited financial legacy," Radich said.
