To be pedantic, Little Jo'burg would be Browns Bay. Albany is more like Little Seoul (with architecture which makes it look like Little Pyongyang)

2 weeks before kick off - any news on season pass arrival?

I was on the fence about renewing my Nix membership again this year. All of the off season stuff, the happenings was great. But it all comes down to how the lads perform on the pitch. So I popped along to the game last Saturday as part of the Home and Garden Show. And thought I was seeing a lot long ball flashbacks from Riki days...but maybe that was the Limoncello! Anyway looks like I just needed to see the Nix play in person again to sign back up this season. Spookie quiet @ the game, but got to hear the players on field chatter.

Masters Grade aint no run in the park on a Saturday...

I don't know a single person who has theirs yet. Even some who signed up within an hour of them going on sale.

Collect my season membership package for and adult and junior membership season pass, they would not give me the kids bag (what ever is inside), she said that is only for the Nix junior club membership. This can‘t be right?

Just received via email :
It's finally here - after a massive off-season, in just FIVE days time your Wellington Phoenix will be back in action at Westpac Stadium, at the family-friendly time of 5pm. Let's pack the stadium and get our boys off to the best possible start!

It's been a huge five months since we last kicked a ball in anger; in June we announced our new coaching team of Darije Kalezić and Rado Vidošić, then six new signings - all internationals or age-group internationals - and finally in August our brand new crest and logo.

We've been working hard off the pitch but there's one piece of the puzzle still missing - the rollout of membership cards.

We apologise for the delays some people have experienced thus far so we've been working with our providers and partners to fast-track a solution.

Over half of you will have your membership cards in your hands this week with the majority arriving in the post over the next few days.

For every Phoenix fan though there will be the opportunity to enter the gates on Sunday 8 October with both your membership card and your membership pack in your hands.

We'll have three fully-staffed marquees on the plaza, open a full TWO HOURS before kick-off (from 3pm), so please come as early as you can to avoid the queues. We don't want anybody missing a single second of match action!

Weather pending it should be a great day for football - thanks for your enduring support and patience; with your help we'll continue to bring professional football to New Zealand. COYN!

Perhaps we could introduce them to "terrace humour" by chanting "We love you refos we do" :-)

The smiley was meant to indicate it was a joke

The personal touch might be more acceptable : We love refos we do" "We love the refos Naidoo"

Outrage spoiler - it's a joke!

Sanctimonius outrage spoiler : The suggestion to sing it is a joke. i.e. I 'm really not proposing that anyone should sing it

Nothing in our mail today. We get mail on Tues/Thurs/Sat but I'm not risking it arriving on Sat, will have to ring up on Friday if its not here on Thursday.

I became a member for the first time yesterday, a non-ticketed member but a member none the less. It's the first time I have been in a position to do so and it feels bloody good! Still plan on getting to games but I'll buy a ticket when I know I can, feels good to be one of those numbers on the metric system now though!

They’re probably counting the 1000 refugees as the half who have their tickets.

Yep, it's a great feeling.  The northern membership has allowed me to sign up this year for the first time.

So a warning to all. I (thought) i had renewed back the day i got the email. Website threw an error at checkout, but in my orders section it had a renewal date and number, so assumed it was a glitch in the matrix.

Called in this morning, wanting to find out about ticket collection details, and no, apparently I have not ordered at all!

If you have an order details in the ticketek membership portal for renewal, with a order number / date, don't make any assumptions. Suggest you call in on 04 384 2457 and check what is going on.

//EDIT - called earlier this morning, have my tickets for Sunday via email. So don't panic, just check.
