How do you think an "out of towners" membership package would go? I, for one watch the Phoenix every week on TV but can't get to home games as I live in Christchurch. I'd more than likely be willing to buy a package that has maybe one or two tickets to game (one for a South Island game and one for a Wellington game would be ideal) and maybe some sort of other assorted trinkets (fridge magnets, lanyards etc etc).

Not going to save me any $$ but at least I'd feel part of the club.

They have a "benchwarmer" membership for about $50 which gets you preferential rights to finals tickets as well as a "gift" (unspecified).

Problem is that the gift was some discount voucher I think. Not really anything particular special. IMHO it needs to be something semi-cool.

Add $25 and you get a ticket to one game too.

Yeah that's close but not exactly what I'm thinking. Ahmad you're a Dunedinite wouldn't you like to be able to carry around a membership card in your wallet?

I expected "gift" to be some sort of badge of honour that I can look upon daily and feel proud of my support.

I reckon they should change the benchwarmer so you could 3 tickets, and a slightly more substantial gift than a voucher. Would be popular with out-of-towners I reckon, although being a Wellingtonian I guess I wouldn't know for sure!

i thought the summer six was a good idea but maybe should be season six letting you into 6 home games during the whole season instead of a set portion of games.
i attended all home games in wellington for 3 seasons but now find unable to afford the travel costs every game have been to only 5 this season and sunday will be number 6.

To those saying people don't know when the games are on, I don't but I just refer to my hand wall chart, which was handed to every child attending the Phoenix pre-season training and signing sessions down in Dunedin.

Were they distributed in Wellington?

I know it's probably not within budget but Roar season members got a "Member" scarf one season.

Now THAT is something which as a fan I would see as REAL value.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Don't have a picture handy but it's not a scarf you'd wear for comfort (necessarily) but it's perfect to hold up before/during the game, or to hang on the wall, etc. to remind you of your connection.

I would like to see a stripey yellow and black scarf. Old school, would surely be a decent seller.

I saw a billboard in Lower Hutt near the roundabout for the Melling Bridge.

It was all black, talking about "Black out the Heart". I am not sure many people would read it, as the black colouring didn't make it stand out much.

But still good to see the advertising effort, and people who read the billboard will at least know about the game this weekend

Is that the one that says:

"The Yellow Fever love wearing Black...YEAH RIGHT!"

Good luck with that. The new one (presumably now manufactured by Adidas) is even more black that the "sparkle" one and has no stripes that I could see. Given that it's just been released it won't be quick to be replaced

Does Dunedin have a graffiti problem?

We (the fans) can make our own scarves.

I would DEFINITELY prefer to hold up a yellow fever scarf rather than this year's official scarf. It sucks big hairy dogs balls. (Sorry Phil, but it does.)

You could enlist the help of the ACFC Knitting Circle!

Surely we are allowed more than 1 scarf per season?

I think flexible memberships would be a winner for many a casual fan.
A membership for 5 or 6 of any of the home games in a season at a membership rate, perhaps with the ability to top up your membership with more games toward the end of the season (at membership rates no less)?
I don't know if the ticketek technology is up for that level of snapper card like flexibility? and I heard the sales for the summer 6 were disapointing but surely if 6 of any games was offered at the start of the season you get a lot of casual punters buying in for 6 games?

A membership card would be cool, but a season pin woul be cool. Especially for the kids.

Have the logo, with the season underneath. Bring out final football ones too. Kids could then collect them and pin them on their lanyard.

Similar to what you can get from Disneyland.
