Finally got through to Ticketek and a very helpful person resolved all issues. 
Difficult to know who is responsible for this shambles, Phoenix or Ticketek. 
However this ridiculous process has been repeated every time we have a home-away-from-home game since 2007

phoenix dont run the ticketing side of the business, the are beholden to the stadium who contract that function to ticketek.
Bear in mind that this game was only set in stone a few days ago.

Fair point. 
However, the Phoenix must have some say in setting the ridiculously short deadline for the pre-sale for season ticket holders, deciding not to have a Foundation Members Pre-sale, deciding to have a game on Easter Sunday and another on ANZAC Day long Weekend. I'm sure people will say it's all the fault of Ticketek or the Stadium or the A-League. However at some point a degree of control has to be exerted by Wellington Phoenix and ticket timeframes, season-ticket holder pre-sale deadlines and increasing help line capability are areas where they could have/should have exerted control, especially as this shambles has occurred repeatedly over the last fifteen years

Na having to put up with some of the Ticketec rubbish at times dosnt need an away game to be thrown in the mix for them to stuff up. They have proven more than capable of buggaring up the simpliest task.

This isn't true anymore, hirers can choose their ticketing provider now. Hurricanes have used a seperate ticketing agent, for example. 

oh yeah that's right. Short notice probably didnt allow Nix to find new supplier, but I expect the other options arent much better.

Wow if people arnt allowed to respond to that inflammatory post surly it should be removed.

You think Phoenix have control of the A League schedule? With all the rescheduling the A League barely has control of the A League schedule.

Obviously I don't think that the Nix have any control over schedule. 
I stated that there has to be some area where they can exert control and the advertising, allocation and selling of tickets is an area they could exert some influence which would save season ticket holders wasting hours when attempting to get their tickets . 
- extra resource to the help line, rather than re-directing to Ticketek
- one day pre-sale for Foundation members ( a soft opening) 
- two-day pre-sale for season ticket holders 

- extra resource to the help line, rather than re-directing to Ticketek (has been discussed in other threads, but giving resource to ticketek's dedicated Nix line isnt something they can do when the staff they did have are gone and they are rebuilding the back office in a employee shortage)

- one day pre-sale for Foundation members ( a soft opening) - timing would be controlled by the ticketing agency.

- two-day pre-sale for season ticket holders (making a long pre-sale) is not how you build any urgency.

plus I'd expect the stadium wants to know what the numbers are looking like early so they can prepare the stadium and people needed for the event. Cos god help us if we cant get our beer and chips before kick off.

The scary thing now is the wait to see if email arrives with hopefully booked tickets in the correct places. Yep doom and gloom maybe but remember this is Ticketec and they have 15 years of delivering what wasnt ordered or just not delivering.

Yep, I'm not going to trust that they've done anything right until I've passed through the turnstiles at the stadium.

14 years of practice and Ticketec are no better now than they were in that first season. Do they do it just to frustrate and take the piss out of fans  or are they just completely incompetent? Yet it seems once you actually can get hold of someone who does know what they are doing over the phone, you are sorted. This shambles should have been sorted after that first season. It is long beyond a joke, it is just completely unprofessional from an organisation that allegedly specialises in this one job.

I've yet to buy as I think I will be missing my first game. Such is life. I have enough crap going on in my life to think about running the Ticketec gauntlet.

Question time Right plenty of people excited they have  tickets to the games. But has anybody actually received their tickets either by Mobile Ticket or Ezyticket yet.I no its to early to panic but this is Ticketec we  are talking about.

way too early to panic, the email says early april. 

I rung to get my Auckland ticket and they said to expect an email by the end of the week. 

I haven't even received the Order Confirmation email that they told me that I'd get later in the day that tickets were released. Not holding out much hope that I'll get my tickets without having to ring the hotline again.

I got my second ticket as a link in my SMS, I haven't got my main ticket yet.

Same here nothing at all looks like its back on the phone.

Probably depends on a few different things. Was a little surprised to see the $30 price for silver. Obviously haven’t bought a ticket in a long time but feel like it was closer to $20 when home games were a thing, or am I remembering completely wrong and this is standard? I know they haven’t been able to sell tickets for 2 years and this is kind of a special event being the first home game for a year, but that might look a bit steep to a lot of casual followers if was the regular price once home games are a thing again. 

 

As for team performance, the last couple of results unfortunately may not have done much to encourage the more casual follower to come. And being Wellington, a lot of people might wait to see what the weather is on the day or day before.

Have my fingers crossed but not overly confidant particularly for the Wellington game. Thinkyey again we have been done over by bum scheduling. Easter Sunday when most hospitality is closed, trains are normally replaced by busses and its the start of the school holidays when many normally head away. Hope I'm wrong 

Just got my accommodation sorted for the Welly game. Looking forward to a great weekend.

Fair enough. Been some time since I last bought a ticket. Went to last year's game but probably hadn't been for 2-3 years before that other than one time I got free lounge tickets.

Not really surprised despite assurances no tickets have been sighted. Frankly so over the farken shtye we have to put up with year after bloody year. 

Do we have any idea on pre-sales? Should we be expecting big numbers?

Maybe a bit better after that last game!

Can confirm YF are working with the Backbencher to have meal with drink deals due to Easter trading laws, so people can gather pregame and have a beer. Will provide more information when confirmed!

I was disappointed he fed the terrorists at parliament tbh, it’s soured my love of that place. Maybe my thoughts will change if it’s open early for beer.

Regardless, cannot wait for the game, here’s to an epic!

Went to ring just now and didn't expect them to close before 5.

spoke to someone this morning and they said tickets would be issued later in the week.
