Managed to get four tickets not *too* far from where I should be but this is a shambles! It seems a number of people have been using others' membership numbers too...

I'll bet any money the zone will be a disaster with people demanding the seats they have bought and the heart of the zone split across the stadium.

Way to negate one home advantage FFA.

Doesn't seem unreasonable to want to sit in a seat you have bought.  It is season ticket holders who are buying these seats today and presumably lots of people are buying extra for friends and family.  There was no problem with atmosphere at the All Whites game.  I think the Fever Zone are getting a little carried away with their own importance.
Ticketek are another matter entirely however............

Blx. It is usual for season ticket holders to get first dibs at buying their own seats for such events. However. the usual "price" to pay for that is that you don't get to buy extra tickets for non-season ticket holders during the members sale - and being given that option is probably the cause.

They are only selling the sunny side of the ground first. The shadow side over near Aisle 12 goes under the hammer from Wed when general sales kicj in.

VERY dissapointed we cant buy our own regular seats.

Oh ans Sinz, all you need in the zone are a few who want you to sit down so they can sit down too to watch the footie and please can yyou keep the noise down??  Yeah right.

This

My number had already been used by the time I tried, get f**ked Ticketek. (and the Fever Zone tourists who stole my tickets) With all the modern technology we have available to us in this day and age, how hard would it be to email members a unique code which they can use to buy tickets as opposed to making it very guessable.

If you can't manage that, then why can't you make sure the name of the person booking the tickets matches at least one of the numbers they are using?

I think you have hit the nail on the head.  I for one am glad for the opportunity to buy some extra tickets.  Of course it would be nice to sit in my usual seats, but even better to be bringing new people along to experience the game.  There is no precedent for this sort of thing at the Phoenix.  At no point has anyone been told, buy your season ticket and you will guarantee those seats for the finals.

I am really quite bitter about not having 'my' seat (read space) for the FZ on Sunday.

Edit - and it's nothing to do with self importnace. What if our home record has nothing to do with me wearing my RR 07, but that fact that I always occupy the same space?

No, but the precedent has been set that you couldn''t by your tickets for the Beckham game and it made the Fever Zone pretty much non-existant.

Surely if your number has been used, Ticketek will have the credit card details of the person who did it.  Go and nail 'em because that sounds illegal to me as well as just taking the piss.

You would think you had some legal recourse there, as Ticketek obviously never asked for proof.

got my tickets today!!! 8 tickets for me and my mates! I m usually in row CC but this time they gave me Row D. Is that any good? I asked where my seat was compared with CC and they said further up. It's still in the Zone, right? Like it's not where people actually sit, right?

A very different type of game.  And your right, the precedent was set and while I got fairly worked up at the time it is not a surprise this time.  As to whether sitting in your seat makes any difference, I know how people feel about that, and I will still be buying Fruit Burst Pick n Mix from the New World at the station before the game.

I've got Fever Zone tickets via a season ticket holder, although I always get Yellow Fever tickets anyway.

I would be annoyed if I were you guys though, it doesn't seem too much to ask to give you first option on the seat you've had the entire season (or more).

Well, one of the other members I sit with has sorted me out in his group of four but if I need more for others I will be doing my best to get mine in the zone and the thieves can f'off to Aisle 30 or so

Got tickets for MY seat. The bloke in front of me in the queue at the Pauline Fowler Centre (and first though the door) didn't manage to get his Season pass seat. As the PAX on my ticket is 56, that it very unlucky....

I'm slightly disappointed!

I realise you are in a different situation Joachim but we are being sorted.  We get the chance to order tickets first.  And as the finals go on, this will only get more important.  The idea of selling season ticket holders their seats only seems a very inefficient way of doing things as you end up with all sorts of odd gaps that the general public aren't necessarily going to want.  This way at least we will have good blocks of crowd to generate some extra atmosphere.

This may seem a stupid suggestion but why didnt they make it all general admission ???????????

I have never sat in my allocated seat, not even for the All White game.

It always makes me laugh when I see people who have obviously never been to a Nix game look for their allocated seat and get real grumpy when someone else is sitting in it.

For heavens sake there are 35000 seats at the stadium if there are expected to be 15 - 20 thousand there on sunday that still leaves 15000 empty seats !!!!!! Even on friday with 14000 there were plenty of empty seats availabe right round the ROF.

I may be a bit of a rebel but the Fever is an integral part of the Nix make the Fever isle yours for this game if people who dont usually come to Nix games and are riding on the success, why should they have preceedent over the REAL supporters. We need the Fever I,m sure if this was the SFS it wouldnt happen.

I'm sure those who buy tickets and normally sit elsewhere, will do so. I will be as normal sitting where I sit for all Nix games.

See you there, we are going all the way, already checking cheap flights to Aus for the final.

Course we wouldn't be having all this seat-angst if it wasn't for the Taylor Report (no relation).

Hope my barstool at Barfifa hasn't been snapped up already

I got my seats. But then where I am, there aren't many other members. I guess it's a combination of luck/getting in early.

I realise that we're going to have 'tourists' in the FZ for the next game, but that's going to happen regardless, because of giving members 4 tickets each.

The alternative would be giving members a ticket each, then all their mates would be stuck in the odd seats that are left over.

I am sure that would work out really well... people like standing in amongst a group of strangers who are yelling and spilling beer everywhere.

I treated this game the same as the All Whites. I knew the seats weren't guaranteed, so I made sure I got mine as early as possible.Ard Righ2010-02-15 11:15:38

I dont think people realise how much this game means. we've hope for 20k but with the buzz going round and being finals, I personally am expecting a few more than that. This game is really important an no matter where we all end up, we have to encourage those around us to join in and make a lot of noise in support of our team.

And if I had a ticket for your seat, and that was where I wanted to sit, and I had made an effort to get tickets in that area, which was full, I would be pissed off too. Especially as if I then move, i'm in someone else's seat, who will then get pissed off with me.... and so on...

I agree with uhfan when it's not very busy, but when it's really busy, it is a pisser to find someone else in your seat, as happened with me at the All Whites game. I explained it was my seat and the guys just looks at me like I am mental and doesn't move so 6 of us (3 with me, 3 with them) had to stand in a space of about 4 seats.

So we're best just to book on the ticketek website for feverzone tickets rather than trying to ring them to get our own seats?

Sorry Santy, I was replying to NZPower.

Smith has yours sorted, not certain where.  Wilso by fluke got my season ticket seats so I'm there but hopefully everyone tells their mates that it's the zone and zone rules apply.
