The Mrs wants a new kitchen and I'd just like to say I am quite confident still after six months of waiting that my loan will come through from the Bank of Nigeria. I mean they promised if I sent them the seeding money they'd come up with the dough, I think it was the proceeds of some oil deal gone wrong and all they needed was a few grand up front.

I bought my season ticket with real money though, Ticketek wouldn't accept payment through Nigeria - there will always be sceptics.

About as much substance as any other article. At least it was short

Allegedly

Did Ricki really give a press conference to formally announce "no comment"? Seems odd.

The headline says he denies the allegations - the article says no such thing.  That is really amateur

Had a drink last night with my old boss - partner at a law firm in wellington, does property and put 2 of Terry's companies in liquidation last week.  Familiar with the situation.  Some scuttlebut - do with it what you will.

- Terry owes money to pretty much everyone in Wellington, with a controlled sell off the general view is that he's short about $100m.  If someone pulls the trigger though and there is a fire sale it could be a lot worse.  There really is no chance of him getting out with significant assets, although there are assets in family members names which may not go into the sell down.

- No-one at this stage is interested in bankrupting him, howver patience is running a little thin.  In his words "if Terry keeps flaunting it by driving around town in his ferrari then someone might decide they've had enough".

I don't think anyone will be "lending" Terry anything for a while

Funnily enough his wrds were "he should be ok so long as next time we see him he's driving a Toyota Carolla"

Toyota Corolla's a good car. Reliable. Easy to get parts. We've got a Camry station wagon. Same deal. Lots of room in the back for the kid's bikes. You'll get no complaints from me. Might not be that flash but it does the job. Bought ours on Trademe. Private sale. AA check, no problems. Good price. Might be a good move for you Terry. Get in tight with the Morgans and all that. Watch out for those dealers though. c**ts.

I am still reeling from the Mini comment - I drive a Mini (my wife bought it as she thinks fat blokes look funny in mini's).

This whole forum has always had it in for Mini's.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Can't fit the bikes or football gear in the Ferrari (besides we are more in the Holden camp).

Yes - lanyard, sorry. Although we don't have much of a lawn (living on the side of Wright's Hill so extra land yard would be useful too (but it has to be yellow and have Wgtn Phoenix on it).

Edit: Actually we have Barina but if we could afford it we would have got a Fiesta.

Is it also way to soon to suggest that Terry should really be considering the pros and cons of faking his own death? Guaranteed way to make the "tributes flow".

Anyway, annoying nothing article full of speculation and attempts to incite panic (DURA DOESN'T BELIEVE IN TERRY ANY MORE!!! give me a break). I like the idea of rival "consortia" (proper Latin plural, o ignorami) duelling for the right to save the Phoenix, like the challengers' series in the America's Cup. The Phoenix Five versus the Sinister Seven?
