I saw them at Twickenham and (somewhere) have 2 great photos - one of the stage with some people in wheelchairs in front of us, and one later of the stage with one of the people who was in the wheelchairs up dancing.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked

I didn't see them last year in Wgtn.

And I didn't see the Nix in Wgtn either, or in ChCh.

He does absolutely nothing of the sort.

Complete muckraking from you - all the article does is outline the legal position with regard to the players and a change of ownership.

Yeah yeah whatever. You can all go on about this and that and blah blah and Terry's got no money etc and OK so nobody knows what's going to happen boo hoo and f**k off Terry no don't f**k off and on and on it goes.

But then you stumble across something like this and it makes you go "what the f**k? that's just f**king weird man" and you smile as you realise that everything is going to be OK.

Just looking for Wellington Phoenix news on Japanese porn sites.

This is the first time in 3 years I've found anything.

Edit: Nah, just jokes. A simple Google search on "Wellington Phoenix" last 24 hours and there she was.

One thing that I did notice today was that there are big new posters up in the windows of the Phoenix shop. One featuring the season draw and the rest with photos of the players in the new Adidas strip - including the one of Iffy where he looks like Mongo from Blazing Saddles.

So all you haterz who say there's been no marketing can just jog on now please.

It's bizarre isn't it?

This Same poster appears every once in a while talking like we're puppet masters who control the club, selections and the whole match day experience and that we're in cahoots with the club and security and from memory we put security to stop people without zone tickets getting in the zone.

I'd absolutely love to know what he thinks we do and wouldhappily refute his allegations if he ever made them clear or posted them somewhere we could respond.

There is a somewhat challenged individual in North Sydney that appears every one in a while on the AUS 442 forums who alleges stuff in a similar vain so it could be him but again he slanders people without any evidence and it's all just bizarre.

Whoever gets the license has the right to field there team where-ever. The Yellow fever do not OWN the club, So a new team would remove there governing and bully tactics at home games. (A ban would be nice)

Sorry I just read that again and laughed. The ringleaders of the fever are generally in no state to govern themselves a games (or are in the Bencher eating cheesecake and skipping the game) let alone dictate the behavior of anyone else. Do you think he means we bully opposition players?

As for the hierarchy not being nice, would you like me to get some character references?Hard News2011-09-17 00:27:29

Seriously O6. What are your questions? None of us hide our opinions, although we may temper them publicly a little.

Sorry if that sounds defensive but I'm more than open for a little Q & A, the only things I won't answer is anything where I would get someone else in trouble for saying it... Unless that person is Feverish, Smithy, FrankieMac or 2ndBest.

Very well said in the paper Smithy, not easy questions to answer, reflected the mood well.

I'll repose my question from a couple of days ago though, what happens if Terry does get the money together for Monday?  Ok he kicks the can down the road for a while but not sure that is an actual solution.  Gets us through the season I suppose...but still leaves future questions up in the air.

Smithy quoted on Stuff:

Meanwhile, a spokesman for Phoenix supporters group Yellow Fever, Wellington lawyer Guy Smith, said fans were simply frustrated by the uncertainty.

"We just want it sorted out one way or another so we can get on with the season. If there's a deadline on Monday then happy days, let's get on with it," Smith said.

Yellow Fever's online forums contained a "a million different opinions" but as Serepisos' financial woes deepened, support for new owners had grown.

"The longer it's gone on, the more frustrated people have got and the more they are looking for some alternative."

I don't think that anyone could argue this wasn't a fair summation of people's views on here.

Yeah, but I notice that YF's alleged membership number has now been inflated to 1,000,000!

Or does Smithy mean 1,000 members with 1,000 different opinions each?

Forgive my overreaction of yesterday. It was just that I'd never even considered the prospect that new owners could sack everyone and start again if they wanted. It was as if the headline had been read "Phoenix players expected not to have their still-beating hearts ripped out of their chests".

Before we get accused of censorship - we don't delete stuff we hide it and I don't see anything hidden in this thread for a few days.

Just people have made that sort of comment before and others have tiraded about oppressive mods. God forbid people think the Fever heirarchy is not very nice.

You have looked too hard. It is a minor overreaction from Doloras about the Herald article, nothing to worry about, we all have those,  no deletions, no cause for panic, carry on....

Typical reaction - expected better from you as owners of the club.

I  presume the'new' owners can do what they like with the team/club as long as they cough up the moolaa.
Different name/home/strip etc will be on the cards if they so desire.

The Phoenix brand might be the collaterall damage in all this mess...

i severely doubt they would want to re-brand it.

They are interested in saving the club for the Wellington people, not for their benefit. And deleting the history and culture of the club would not be their intentions.

The FFA own the Phoenix brand so it's not quite as simple as that (in fact, this is the basis of my argument that the A-League "owners" aren't owners at all, but more like funders or franchise holders - but that's a rant for another day).

If the new owners expressed any desire to the FFA to re-brand that alone would be sufficient evidence to me that they don't have a clue about "owning" a football club and should be told to f**k off.

Why would new owners seek to overhaul the whole club? As has been said, these guys aren't idiots and regardless of what they know about football they will know what works within an organisation and what does not. They'll know sacking everyone is a bad idea. They'll know rebranding or seeking to change the culture the club has with the fanbase is a bad idea. I strongly doubt a takeover will mean any major changes, apart from less negative press and a bit of extra dosh to bring in more staff/players and pay the existing ones.

completely agree with Danny though. cant wait for tomorrow's announcement.

One would hope that the demands of the FFA are strict enough that if Terry can tick all the boxes, then he can afford to run the club for the full season
