No thanks when we've got the kiwi talent

I'm not sure I would want a young Kiwi sitting on the bench for an entire season, better to have someone like Reddy getting splinters on the sideline.
Basalaj showed last season that there is no substitute for game time, he got better and better as the season went on.

I see what you're saying patty but with the injuries moss' had...id go for akiwi who'll no doubt get blooded

Yeah that's what I thought too. Moss has missed how many games in the last few years? Seems logical to assume he'll miss a few next season too

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.

Sorry to goalkeepers, but goalkeeper transfer speculation is the most boring form of transfer speculation.

But where else would O'Keefe end up if he wasn't playing for us??? I'd rather him being on the bench for us than in some crappy American league

So you rather he sat on a bench and did nothing, rather than play?

Reserve goalkeeper transfer speculation too. We're really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

They provide better half time show that anything the marketing team comes up with.

You need to have at least 2 on the books. Still a chance for 2ndBest!

2B would be #3 then. May need longer sprigs in his boots though

I'd rather he played here than didn't.

Well hang on. No one mentioned he was not getting paid to play in the US. That changes things.

I'm not sure if he would be getting paid or not. But since it isn't in the mls it won't be much if anything. I doubt you would be able to live on it.

Unless he plays for the USA version of Wairarapa United.

USL 1 AND 2 Pay players reasonably well - Plodder was there for a while and it's a great place to get spotted for MLS.

Ok so I stand as I was. Play in the USA or sit on a bench here. The play option wins.

I'm not saying what's best for him, but more what's best for me. As a Nix fan I want to see a young Kiwi keeper

Jesus wept, can we please have some speculation about outfield players, who are at least interesting!

Just read on BBC Sport today that Abedeen have released 7 players including Rory Fallon. Former Scotland Intenational Gavin Rae will also be out of contract and Derek McInnes (Aberdeen Manager) said that he expected Rae to head to Australia - assuming he just means A-League. He's 35, ex EPL could do a great job winning the ball and distributing in midfield for us if Manny is going back to Right Back.

I read it as move to Australia to live, rather than play myself. Would throw Perth Glory out there as option because he is old & Scottish but they seem to have moved on from that Ferguson has gone.

Yeah maybe though to me it read more like move for football and lifestyle - wind down career

So Fallon on a free transfer?

I wonder where Lochhead would go if he doesn't get signed. Toronto FC?

Not to this club I hope.

Rory Fallon? I hope the above is seriously dripping in sarcasm. We want to get better as a football club.

Matt Simon's back at the Central Coast. Ready to continue his scrap with every player ever.

If he wants to come here and try and impress the new gaffer, I have no problems. But I wouldn't want him signed on 'reputation'.

But that's it. What has he got? I still rehash this but he has 'that goal' and that's it. He did nothing at Plymouth Argyle and to his credit, the only reason he never got completely trashed by the fans was that he was a good club man. He has had 2 years at Aberdeen and to be blunt, he was struggling there.

Now I know the A League is not the same but I just don't see what he has going for him to be signed on other than reputation only.

Grumpy old bastard alert

The only thing going for him from a Nix perspective is that he's a Kiwi and would be cheap - given few/no other clubs would really consider giving him a go. Having said that, he's settled over there with a young family so why come back for peanuts?

Won't happen.

Please.

If Rory Fallon can score 'that goal' every weekend then I'd take him in a heart beat.

he most certainly can not

his problem has been the lack of the Sigmund/Bertos combination to set up his goals for him...

I think the referees would foul him out of the league.

They let Burns get away with murder each week. And Muscat before he retired was 100 times worse.
