North Queensland announce their name and colours today, so it wouldnt surprise me if they also throw in a few signings as well. Looks like Middleby will be going there for sure

Watch Seule Soroman's start to the NZFC. If he's banging em in then sign him.

I like the name Holloway but unfortunately, he seems to be too under rated in too many quarters. Good work rate and intelligent footballer.

From Brisbane Times

"Eleven players have committed to joining the fledgling franchise next season including marquee signing Jade North from reigning champions Newcastle. Matheson wants those deals firmed up and announced before Christmas.

Four of the 11 have been scouted from the various state leagues across the country."

No ink dry yet.

Anything more developed on these fronts?

Geez...Newcastle is/has been gutted.  Surely we can finish higher than them.

Don't think Brockie is coming to the Phoenix. They would have signed him by now if Ricki wanted him.

Sure hope the next Phoenix signings come from somewhere ferkin cold, like Iceland or Finland or Nthn Scotland. I'm getting tired of players bitchin about not liking the weather in Wellington(Smeltz, Felipe)

I'm not sure whether to make anything of this but...

It says on wikipedia under the Nix squad 'John Paver -- striker'. Now that might be someone stuffing around or it might be for real...

Like I said, it could just be someone putting their name in the Nix squad. It is Wikipedia after all.

Maybe the same person who put Simon Elliott in the squad, whilst misspelling his name and making him 9 years younger than he actually is?

News is part of the Australasian Football Illuminati. As the 'About YF' section says, he knows when Tando Velaphi is about to fart.

And stop getting your info from Wikipedia people...

Interesting rumour do you have a source? How do you rate Totori against these two?

Elliot no longer wanted as a guest with Ferrante/Brown/McKain now the trusted men?

Really? Using import spots on a Fijian and a Kiwi? That's different. I do want to see Brockie back in the A-League, though.

Krishna seems blurry.  He's young enough to be Youth League, and if he has an Indian passport could sneak in using the new AFC Asian import rules proposed.

do you think signing Brockie would be a good move? I think he didn't shine last year (mind you, he had no chances to shine - but that says it all).
Besides, wikipedia says that Brockie signed with NQT..
If we have to sign a kiwi, shouldn't we look at some lads playing in the NZFC who are ready to step up?
And of course we should sign De Gregorio..he's a bit old, but younger than Brown or Johnson..he could be Wellington Phoenix's own Totti...

Four years older actually, and I doubt he'll go pro again now he has a business running and all. As for Brockie, if he's going to impress in the A-League he's not going to do it with performances like his one for T-Dub today

Cnut said on Stuff that there is rumours of Mossy going to Aussie next year.  I havent heard these, who is he rumoured to be joining?

Bloody better not go, we can't lose our two best players at once!

So no one knows who he is being linked to?

NQ is the most likely

Does he have an Aussie passport or something? Why would an aussie club want to waste an import spot on a goalkeeper?
