given his contribution on the park and on the training ground during the Tigers' promotion season - Yep, I'd love to see him turn out for us - can't quite seee it happening though

I think Webster is playing NSW State League for Blacktown.
As my brother drinks at the club and did say that he noticed a kiwi internationl by the name of Webster was playing for the club!!!!
That was last season so this could be old news.
I'm sure HN will put me right if I'm wrong?

He's moved back to Europe... Finland from memory.

I hope not... quite good striker, but strikes me as an objectionable person.

There's loads of other top quality free agents out there still - Ronaldo, Ljungberg, Gravesen, Canizares etc. But they could all find clubs interested with buckets of cash to pay for them.

Ljungberg already has - signed with MLS's Seattle Sounders FC a couple weeks ago

If wanting players to be scoring goals (aka "getting results" and, if you're a striker, "doing your job") is shallow, then right now what the Phoenix needs is some shallowness in our scouting

Ricki was asked about Davids on a sports radio interview yesterday....was very noncommital. With so many a-League scouts around now he would not mention anyone until they had signed.

I was really impressed by Davids on the weekend. They don't call him the "Pit Bull" for notheing. Great work rate, fast feet, tough attitude...he would be a hit in the A-League, plus he is still only 35. What I really liked was his attitude.....he's a tough little mother! Even though it was a festival game he was going at it full on. Love to see him at the Phoenix , even as a guest player for 6 games.

And that's very likely, since we don't have a guest player right now, and with guest players being allowed to play in the season finish...

On the Keeper situation, I reckon leave Bosnich out we gotta aim high. Hildebrand's just been released by Valencia!

I found the perfect picture for a reply to this, but it's a bit much, so I'll just leave it to your imagination.

Isn't it about time that the one armed geezer from QPR got dragged into this thread again.

Certainly brightened things up last time..........

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

in the past AW games I've seen, Smeltz has been more impressive than Killen IMO.

^ Same here. Would be a good replacement though the money would be triple.

Why does the replacement have to be a kiwi, there is too many in the side anyway.

The more kiwi's the better as far as I'm concerned.  With the Knights they whinged about a lack of Kiwi's and now that we (the new NZ team) have some I won't listen to anyone complain about it.loyalgunner2008-12-12 00:38:29

You're complaining about too many kiwis? Seriously?

The only kiwi in our squad that doesn't offer anything = Mulligan and maybe Covs now.

I think our next signing needs to be someone who is follically challenged. We have too much hair in our team currently
