I'd take David Williams. Is really pacy. Haven't seen him play for a while though.

Porter + Williams would do me actually :P

I've heard rumours about Baird coming back to the A-League for ages as well. Don't think he's that good though.

I watched Baird at Suncorp... he was a striker for the Roar... 'nuff said

Williams is young, pacy, and short... though he seemed to be heading for greater thing than the HAL... don't know how he's gotten on in Europe though?

Think he's dwindling a bit at Brondby in Denmark. Could be lured back maybe.

https://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/63898,no-going-back-for-williams.aspx

Though looking at that article from last year there aint much hope

Dunno if he'd come here though would he?

The aboriginals are notorious for being homesick (even moving across states, or within) so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him head home, though I couldn't see him coming here...

But I've been wrong (57 times) before

Danny Invincible = best name ever. Sign him up.

And hasn't Krishna already trained with us? If Ricki deemed him good enough to step up i'd say he would already be signed.

Yeah, I know. Still awesome.

He's only scored 25 goals in 150 appearances for Kilmarnock, though.

I've got a short piece written by a Kilmarnock fan in Aussie FourFourTwo on him. According to him he's lazy and doesn't live up to his potential. In reply to his not-so-impressive scoring record apparrently he's been played on the left-wing until recently.
You know we belong together...

Here is an interesting byline from this mornings Sydney Morning Herald

""

■ In a strange twist of fate, Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Michael Theoklitos could end up doing a straight swap with Glen Moss and join Wellington Phoenix next season.""

Would be ok with that

There's a Killie fan who posts on here occasionally, I think. he might be able to provide a bit of info.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Lazy, performs below potential, plays on the wing...sounds familiar

Didn't say 'Fat' in there as well, did it?

Or 'Asian'?

Could be a handy signing...

Theoklitos would be a GREAT replacement for Moss. He is a fundamentally sound goalkeeper and has won the HAL Keeper of the Year award. Get it done!

I thought he was going to go to Europe though?

Looks like we don't have a shot with Porter. Disappointing. Can't believe GC are going to end up with Porter and Smeltz :/

It is from the Micheal Cockerill in the Sydney Morning Herald though,   not Four Four Two,   and he is usually on to it.

From reading the 442 website it looks like we will not be getting Joel .
What a bloody shame, looks like he will be teaming up with Shane at Gold Coast.
Tony P has said that they have their feelers out, lets hope that we will get some quality striker soon.

One has to wonder how Gold Coast can squeeze all these players in under the salary cap.

Surely we can outbid GC if we used our marquee spot unless they use theirs (but it looks like they will use theirs on Culina). We better have a good marquee next season maybe the nix are holding back so they can use it on Fred instead of Porter?

With the weather on the GC you wouldn't have to pay me much to play there, especially with free rent and a separate job on the side that didn't involve much but paid well and never got in the way of the footie.

Second that Danny is fantastic.

What players? Apart from Griffiths, Smeltz and Porter they wouldn't be on much. They have Rees, a couple of Knights rejects etc.

Mostly against NZ teams..

Don't think he would be great without a Fred, Archie or Hernandez around him. He's a terrific finisher and poacher but he barely ever makes his own goals. Kinda like Smeltz in that regard I suppose.

Just an Idea? - Cristiano from Adelaide?

Not the Shane Smeltz but paired with someone could prove dangerous and already proven at A-League Level?

And seems annoyed at Adelaide

I'd take Allsopp any day, especially since the striker situation for next season is looking pretty bad (for now!).
