Phoenix Transfer - speculation (Part 2)

Iffy on ZB yesterday saying he'd been contacted by 25 british pro's when he was back home over the hols... all having seen his success with us and wanting to know about playing down here... pretty bluddy promising!

Clearly we can't/won't/shouldn't have too many more but being able to cherry pick the best fit(s) using Iffy & Greeny's experience here (and there of course) could well be pretty useful!

Was an awesome interview too if someone wants to link to it (was on the ZB Footy Hour about 1.10 yesterday arvo).

These Poms - they play so instinctively and those Aussies are just too mongrel.

We need a German to organise and direct them.

One is enough.

ballack should get a starting spot, heard he doesnt want to wind down his career in the US or middle east yet, so a top club like the nix would be a perfect place to come

Here's a name for next year, if not this: Ben Fairclough.

McKain on his way out, that kinda sucks. I wonder if we'd be making any money of the reported $1.5 mil is just what his wages are going to be.

How about if Sigmund and Durante start, sign Vicelich on the cheap for 1 year, and spend the $1m on Killen/Fallon? Plus i'm all for getting Elliot!

Crowther as the back-up keeper.  i don't see us signing a third.

It was said the other week that we were looking for a midfielder a striker and a youth player.  Add a centre back.

Wouldn't be selecting my starting XI just yet, especially without more signings. That team is worse than last year.

There is no way Reid will come back and he shouldn't - if we want the All Whites to get better then we need as many players as possible in top leagues

Yes Pim.

Pim would've been encouraged by a defender getting the equaliser "see,I don't need to play strikers!"

Allegedly

Permalink Permalink

Lol, Pim doesn't play defenders. He plays Craig Moore.

Yes Pim.

So you would rather see him back in the A-League instead of developing overseas - especially if interest from the Serie A is anywhere near the mark? Not to mention the fact that he's settled in Denmark and has been for 10 years+

If anyone should come back it's Killen or Fallon who wont be getting any better any time soon

The only AW we are going to get will be Elliot and Ivan, the others still have opportunities overseas.
