Do agree with that. But I guess us people just wanted to see Putter given a go.  He came ll the way down and didn't even have a go. Guess it could be his way he approached the injury and his mentality?

At the end of the day, we havn't signed one player from our trialists...
Crowther, Rojas and probably Jiang Chen. That's half our signings.

Woops totally forgot that Crowther trialled and Rojas too.
Chen hasn't signed yet

Was more talking about our trialling strikers to be honest

DORDRECHT - he had this way hoped on a beautiful adventure far gone of the Netherlands, but Eddy for the agreed Friday still an obligation (for one season) with FC Dordrecht.
, of course I am with that very glad, the person whose birthday it isperson whose birthday it is person whose birthday it is tells pointed. , there were first division clubs also other which had concrete interest for me, but in first division Dordrecht puts me bovenuit. I weet what I have here. I feel myself here thuis, find environment pleasantly and the speelwijze thus pays me, for the.

With its girlfriend Nicolette Eddy for in June flew to New Zealand, where he hoped Phoenix by means of a training period at Wellington deserve a contract. Up to that point it did not come. After tap on only during the first training drunk he in the rag basket. , that was a vexation. Is you there, gets you by proving you to a blessure not the chance. I had still rather had that I simply could have trained, but that they found me not well enough. Smile on its face after the question if the adventure has then only incurred perhaps one year delay, betrays that for the over twelve months steps possibly in the plane. , but then it becomes more difficult with Nicolette go. If now had succeeded in New Zealand, then she had wound up there its last phase of its study medicine. If she has year next here a job, leave it a piece is more cumbersome together.

After fixing Eddy for the FC Dordrecht players still three under contract must take to come to the number of seventeen, obligatory by the KNVB. Etienne Shew-Atjon seem seen the speelminuten that he so far have got in the preparation an important candidate. , he for us an absolute acquisition would be, Gert Kruys think. , we can use a player with its experience complete well.

Saturday night Delano Hill were also sneered to the curve dike. Previous year and took part in experience proponent also already some weeks in the preparation, but then chose he trained on the fall band for an adventure at Al-Wakrah SC in Qatar. If there none professor club more for him comes, the 34 person whose birthday it is Hill coming volume will play for the Rijswijkse Sunday hoofdklasser Haaglandia. Furthermore FC Dordrecht hope still experience keeper to commission. And provisional the Brian returned of kruisbandblessure get pinnace - he got rather that to hear of Marco Boogers `ie could leave - also still ordinary are minutes of Gert Kruys.

Eddy for the hope be within some weeks top-fit. , I have been possible only train the last period in the krachthonk, resist I hope rapidly on the field, thus for the, which slammed by its arrival the door for its former kompaan Cecilio Lopes. , it is moan that he does not return. But I Gnero sea bow net a couple has now seen time to the work and I think that I couple also with him very well can form.

Picking up on an earlier question, if a player - like Diego - is sidelined by some sort of "pre-existing condition" (not a Lia-type injury), and the squad is already full, can the Nix sign another player to replace him?

AND, would Nix team insurance cover the cost of that sick player's contract, freeing up the money for any replacement? (Assume Lia's contract was covered by insurance.)

The squad is nowhere near full. We still have 4 spots available (with one of them probably going to the Chinese guy if all the rumours heard so far are true). So it shouldn't become an issue any time soon.

Is anyone any the wiser on what Diego's problem actually is and how long he will be out for ?
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Cheers. Got that. My question was hypothetical, assuming we had a full squad.

Why bother? The squad won't be full, so it's not an issue.

I know it's not an issue. We both agree on that. I'm simply curious. It happens. Let me rephrase my questions.

Q#1:  Does the A-League have a rule governing players who have to withdraw from any squad through an illness or precondition not obvious when that player was signed?

Q#2:  If there is a rule governing such a contingency, what conditions are imposed on that team  regarding the signing of a replacement player if the team already has a full squad?

In theory injury replacement should come from the National Youth league.  Not really going to work for us.

Instead I think we revert to the old rules where the replacement has to play in a similar role and the injured player doesn't count against the cap, so freeing up cap $$ for cover.

We can't swap in Luis Figo if Crowther goes down injured for example, or as the Mariners did a few years ago Aloisi in on big $$ for an injured defender.

Thanks, HN. I figured it would have to work something like that to be fair to clubs with genuine needs, and also to stop less scrupulous clubs doing an "Aloisi", even if CCM managed it.

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think GCU and the Fury have NYL teams this year either. Who would bet against GCU attempting to drive a truck through these regulations in the event that a member of their squad gets injured...

So an offensive midfielder could be an option for replacement?
Sure Fred would be great, but don't know if he will be here this season.

Maybe a loan from another Chinese club?

Well Fred's contract runs out in November, we could maybe see him after that. But in the meantime another Chinese player on loan might be an option.

That;s pathetic.

In all seriousness I think we should be pleased with who we ahve. Hopefully Deigo isn't out for to long and Chen joins up nicely.

One of the main reasons Diego got droppped from adelaide was his run of injuries meant he got SFA game time. It was a risk we took signing him. Hopefully this injury will not mean he is out of action for two long......double wammy is without a reserve team how do we get guys like Diago match fit after and injury.

This will definitely have an impact on the team.....he was signed as the "go to" man for midfield creativity. We are now left with the same midfield as last season.....who did'nt actually inspire with their ability to create chances for the strikers. On a positive note at least guys like Hearfield are showing good early season form and hopefully Daniel will pick up the tempo.

Apparently Daniel and Hearfield especially have lookked good. I think we do have a solid midfield selection but that attacking spark is still misiing. I've said it even after we signed Diego, we need someone else. It could be worth marquee status(although we have said we wouldn't get one), just if we could get that flair and eye for goal midfielder. A bit like Fred (Who Tony did say he would give marquee to if he could...?).

Otherwise, I think there should be enough cap to be looking at this spot. We have enough midfielders, but this is a important spot in our lineup so hoping we can solve it. Even if Bertos plays central??, he has said he woulkd prefer to play there

I suppose Ifill provides an option to slot into the attacking midfield role if the Chinese loan deal works out and he is any good to play alongside Greenacre.
