that sounds like the very same seats I was offered as well

Same with my work, because it has that secure online payment system. They blocked it so people cant waste away the day buying things.

What's with the ticketing for this?

The In the Nix email said pre-sales was 2 days Monday/Tuesday. So Pre-sales should have been over today.

I went into Ticketek, and they tell me "general sale" for these tickets doesn't start until the 30th?

Do we seriously have to buy our tickets through their sh*t website until then?

Pre-sales continue today as well.

Monday, Tuesday and possibly today are the only days you were able to get 10% off with your membership. Otherwise it's still pre sales (online and via phone only) unitl the 30th which is when you can buy them from the store. I think this is how it works.

They really need to make this clearer in the 'In the Nix' emails if that is the case. It never mentioned anything about June 30th.

Will try Ticketek via the phone.

So no going to a ticketek outlet today and asking for tickets I guess as a member?

They will most likely just tell you to ring or do it on the internet.

Will probably end up moving the game so we can have an 80's singer perform at the stadium instead

Tried to book online and, as observed by others, I can't pick the seats that my group want. So I called Ticketek and asked for some help, to be told that I could either do it online or phone but either way accept the tickets they offered me. As I said to the two people I spoke to I thought this was a members bonus to get in first and be looked after.
First person was pretty rude and hung up on me. Second guy said that he understood and would like to help but that SEAT SELECTION wasn't available, for him, and he could only offer me that random choice.

So our members' bonus is we can have first divs on a random seating selection which ignores our wants....
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Maybe it's a weekend thing?

I asked for an aisle and a range of rows and was then asked if I wanted left or right.  Got pretty much what I asked for and the woman on the phone even asked if we wanted to split our group into two rows or all on one.

Isn't the members pre-sale finished? During the pre-sale and during the week, I called the Members booking number (not Ticketek general number) and got to choose exactly what tickets I wanted. Did you get through to the members line? You can tell as that's how they answer the phone, "Phoenix Members Hotline."

From http://www.wellingtonphoenix.com.au/

Current (season 2010/11) Phoenix members will have the first opportunity to snap up members-only discounted tickets and secure seat of their choice for the big match, with an exclusive two-day pre-purchase period from 9am on Monday, June 21, till midnight June 23.

Ticketek now have a pre-sale on 24-27 for My Ticketek members, people who signed up on the waitlist and got the password sent to them, and members can still buy. Presumably no discount now? And from what you describe, you could only choose your own seats if you bought during the members pre-sale?

Therein lies the problem...   On the members email, or something,  the dates are 24-27....   <sigh> dairyflat2010-06-27 18:44:32

They stopped sending me the member emails last year. There do seem to be a lot of us who they've stopped sending those emails to?

Saga continues...
I called the hotline just now and got no help at all... Have been told that if I want to specify my seats I'll have to wait for general public sale. As said above, and in my own experience, they've been happy to help  with specific seats before...

Now that I am aware, from the Hotline, there was also a 10% discount offered I am feeling a little aggrieved...

How did you guys  become aware of the FIRST sale period?

Sale dates in 3rd paragraph.  I had assumed I could book on the net and get seats of my choice but ended up phoning in as others reported random seat allocation.

Phone number is at the bottom of the Nix webpage.

Also I think there was a nix email a few days later.

Got two tickets today, usual seats. Don't have ticket number yet because the printer was broken. So get them tomorrow morning.

Hopefully get ticket sales pick-up now the All Whites are home and we can start to concentrate on the Phoenix season :)
