Watson.
Pre-season 2013/2014 - vs Phoenix B - Ring of Fire - Sunday
Watson.
And what a strike for his goal. Saw him play in the Chatham Cup final last year and I remember thinking 'Whos' that lad? Pretty good for a big guy, he's got some skills'
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
I think Watson has got better and better. He isn't the fastest forward, but he uses his size to good use.
Fuck this stupid game

He has come along massively from the Chatham Cup final last year where he was pretty ineffective.
He's always been a handy central league player. A big forward with an eye for goal. I've always questioned his ability to step up and I don't think I was alone there. Sounds like he's put some yards in and trimmed down and given himself every chance...you can only applaud that in any player!

I have never seen watson play, but from monitoring on here over the last year it sounds like he's gone from likely ASBP journeyman to a proper professional prospect, through nothing but hard work on his own part.
A tip of the hat to the lad, much respect, I really hope he gets somewhere - if not the nix then somewhere else
I had the exact same thought before I read your comment News.

Well, 3 of them play for Miramar, so I'd say that's the maximum number.

Totally jealous of any one heading to it today. What a fantastic looking day for some football.

I'll meet you there, mate. I'll be by the sheds wearing a phoenix fanny pack.
Beautiful day on the Kapiti Coast for a game of football

Get the bar ready. We are heading north.
I'm always a bit jealous when the Nix play at Weka Park, because I lived right next door on Tui Road and I used to play there as a young 'un, back in the days of Raumati Hearts.

The end is nigh.....

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!
I really wish I didn't have the Eastbourne Cup to play in today! Enjoy the game lads!

Yeah was pretty tempted to skip it to watch this game

Guess Thundersticks is out enjoying the sun, no official tweets so far. Yakcall saying Watson/Waffles/Leo up front, Kenny on the right with Manny and Bertsch in the middle. Maybe its a 4-4-2?
Abba gets tackled in the box, and penalty given. Central League selection ahead 1-0 #COYN
Central selection playing the better football. Ball in back of nix net again but was offside.
Half time and Capital's Central League side are in the lead 1-0 over the @WgtnPhoenixFC at Weka Park!
Big changes 2nd half.
Siggie durante now on, ifill and Brockie as well.
