How many hours and what time did they train Tuesday - Word was EMC was playing them fatigued.

And it sounds like He will do the same on Thursday.

Yeah... but they are pros (well mostly) and playing against a team that had probably worked all day. So...

Don't think Blew was using it as an excuse, more suggesting it was part of the plan for pre-season.

Oh ok. My bad.

Just proves he is a hard task master - and is expecting the players to handle it.

Could also backfire and result in injuries. Lets hope not. I'd like to see Iffy given a rest against Petone.

Ernie Merrick, C*nt!

That's an exclamation in the Australian tradition and not an insult just so we are clear.

The young guy who started last night, I think he's from Otago or Dunedin and about 16 years old but can't remember his name looks pretty impressive. He didn't get much of the ball but when he did, I thought his technique, balance, ball control was really positive. I know it's a big call and I'm definitely not saying he is as good as him by any means but he reminded me a bit of Rojas. Very similar build and appeared to be very good on the ball. Although this is from watching him play a central league team and he wasn't really involved in the game for large amounts of time. Need to see more of him. Wouldn't be surprised if he was in the FSE this season though

Sounds like the club rooms will be open so you can pop upstairs, grab a drink and watch from the balcony.

Stein finished with 4. another with his head. scored a lot with his head for a guy who supposedly can not head a ball this pre season

Wonder if Hudson-Wihongi is an option at RB based on tonight...heard good things

Just got back from the game. Was impressed with Hudson, Rufer and Stevens. The boys played some really good footy, even if it is only against a central league team.

Came on in the second half. I didn't take too much notice of him to be honest. I'm sure someone else will be able to critique him.
