Am I the only one putting Bathurst before the Nix? My excuse though is that I don't live in Wellington otherwise I would watch the race until game time. I will be in Napier though. Ticket already obtained.

Manny & Lia to start this game, but long term Manny & Reira with Vinnie on the bench.

can someone positively confirm what time the game will be according to Central European Time UTC + 1??

I will be in Liechtenstein on the weekend - and don't even get me started on how pissed off at the fact that the Liechtenstein national team is playing two qualifying games away from home in a row - so I won't be able to go watch them!! [If you think it's weird, read Charlie Connelly's "Stamping Grounds].

Anyway, according to my calculations, the game will be on at 6am (13.10.2013) - can anyone confirm this pretty please??

Right now its 4.25 pm, here in France and 3.25 am in NZ. So its 11 hours different. So when the Nix play on Sunday at 5 pm NZT it is 6 am Central European time on Sunday morning. Wot you doing in Liechtenstein? Only been there once and it was bat shiite boring.....makes Invercargill seem like Las Vegas

Hicks and Spoonley on 3-4 week contracts, McPeake and Watson on one week contracts. No Gulley, Merrick said he wasn't ready.

Car racing. I honestly could never understand the appeal. THRILL as the participants turn left repeatedly!

That's a bit of a surprise when you consider that every man, dog and media hack had Gulley as a certain.

Glad Hicks is there. Haven't been proven wrong on that one yet.

Not sure which one of those three the podcast punters are, but we had Gulley in too. Shame for the young fella.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Definitely sounds like it. 'Not ready' is probably a little ambiguous when you consider that he has played significant minutes there this season. Either Ernie has tried to give him bulk minutes in the hope a lot of game time gets him up to standard or (the extremely less likely) something has gone wrong in the last week for him injury, conflict whatever...

Agree with that based on last Sunday.

He went down just before half time, looking in a bit of pain. Not sure if it was an injury or the ball hitting him in an awkward place.

I would have thought he would have been our RB. Really worried if we play Adams there, he looked quite poor for Nix White on Sunday. Would rather play Riera and move Manny to RB.

Edit: although this article: http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/9264129/Short-term-deals-with-Kiwis-prop-up-Phoenix says that they are match fit.

Who knows.

So we'll be starting with Watson, Huysegems and Boyd?? Bit of a worry if this our starting front three. I think Huysegems is a quality player with good players around him but I'm not too sure about Watson and Boyd..

Boyd maybe. But would say Ifill will be starting ahead of Watson.

Is it because siggy is there now? Merrick thinking louis is back by rnd 3 and i should use the two other yng defenders i signed?

guess someone else has fished out this gem on Hernandez:

"He's lost 4kg and I saw him tackle the other day. I had to put it on replay because I wasn't sure but he definitely tracked someone and put in a tackle."

That's positive.

The guys on 442 seemed to think that Hernandez was going to be highly motivated because he wants to break into the world cup squad.

Lets hope everything fires and we outscore Brisbane on the weekend.

First up games can go any which way regardless of pre season form. Whatever the result this is the most positive I have felt about the team for a good few years now. If the weather holds and we get a good walk up crowd, I reckon it will be enough to get the result. Cmon the Nix !
