Just a quick answer please, I know this isn't perhaps the right thread but. I thought we had a game against Sydney City on Thursday Jan 8th 7pm KO but has that now been moved to March 29 7pm? Just need to know so I can apply for the A/L. Chers.

We're on a roll and capitalising on the film's profile as well.  Let's hope for a massive crowd that dwarfs everything previously by comparison.

Just to MAKE you very HAPPY nay BEYOND HAPPY ... the Mariners are in deep shark with their current owner have shark crowds have our worst squad ever .. with FFA often saying we are on our own so maybe within two years we will no longer exist on the CC... we have a prick of an owner ...

How the fudge can every fudgeing post be seen as you are attacking the Nix's ....

Just to remind you and so you are BEYOND HAPPY AND IN YOUR LAND OF SUNSHINE AND LOLLY POPS the Mariners are in deep shark much more than the Nix...

You spend most of yout time here giving off an aura of how great the game is going in Aus and a distinct undertone of 'what do the phoenix add?' but you get the hump when someone pokes a tiny stick into you.

Sometimes potshots are so easy they have to be taken, even though offence is not meant. I'm sure no one here likes to see CCM in the state they are in.

One thinks back to Clive Palmer and wonder if there could be anyone just as bad or worse out there and CCM seem to have found an answer. So glad we are not in their shoes, they can't blame those bloody cats like Gareth does.

I often say the A-League in Australia is charging ahead BUT read any of my posts and I have always said the Mariners my club is in trouble...

My comments pertain mainly to the poor media Football gets in NZ .... especially compared to Australia ... Almost always I have said the Nix are safe subject to AFC issues ... More over I have said the NZF has not kept pace with the FFA.... regarding msm...

I have even offered some reasons,,, like money, maybe NZFA consider if FFA want to promote the A-League then let FFA do it why should they spent what they have on an Australian league...

How you read my posts and think what it means  is up to each reader ...  I still stand by my comments regarding things like the NZ Herald does not have Football as a major heading.. further I stand by my comments that there is a relationship between media coverage, crowds and ratings... further debates about style etc in the msm is rare.

The undertone as you put it is how you read what I say.... and how defensive you wish to be... Repeating what I have posted so often FFA want a 100 million dollar media deal and to get it need two new teams, replacing the Nix's would mean finding 3, which they don't want to do.... Having said that to get the 100 million they need the league performing at a certain rate...  i.e average crowds, ratings, net hits, media coverage etc ... each team will be expected to reach a level .. I have often posted the media in NZ is a worry in helping the Nix's and I don't think NZF helps all that much either ... maybe I am wrong..

Just to make you all happy I grow tied of having to explain my posts so with great happy happy joy joy sunshine and lollypops I will refrain from posting anything other than great stories of how great the Nixs are how well run NZF is and in fact is a shinning example to the world of how to operate, and sit back and wonder if only we could get that much media support ... all is good NZ will win the next world cup and gain entry via Oceania ...

Finally the Nix's are to the power of a zillion better than the Mariners....

Midfielder, it cant be nice having a right cnut for an owner, i can kinda relate to that, at QPR, Flavio Briatori was exactly the same. Fan power might win in the end.

It is strange that the annual Auckland Nix marketing campaign hasn't started yet. Usually by now someone at the Nix is mentioning that few tickets have been sold, they are expecting 20000 and if you don't turn up and crack 15000 then by god we will never bring another game to your city again.

Yep, tis a warning in many ways about FFA letting anyone take over a club...

Eight years of community work and squad building being lost by an owner who has never lived on the Coats appoints the marketing guy from the Roar when they averaged 12 K, as CEO won't listen to the locals... because he pays the bills and knows best and its our fault he is doing what he is doing...

Can happen to any club when ownership is changed just look at WSW's pay dispute ... under Gorman this would never have happened...

On the off chance that I can tear Jnr Jnr away from Counter Strike and Jnrette is up for a bit of ultra violence, I presume Four Kings will be showing the game?

Well played 2nd Best.

And Midfielder, I sympathise. I was there as a passionate Kingz fan, and when my team was taken away from me it really hurt. I sincerely hope you guys don't end up going through the same thing.

Weird in the extreme we have just passed our record membership number with 5,973...  13 more than last year... with all the crap going on with the worst squad in living memory playing crap battling with the jerks for the spoon we still break our membership record... and he says the Coats is not loyal enough ...

With Gorman and Turnbal we had the best owners  under Charlesworth we have the worst owner ... the funny thing is it may get taken out of his hands as other teams don't want to play at NSO and Fox don't like the lightening .... but fark moving 5 games to NSO went the rent is only $ 7, 500 per game at CC Stadium...

Hope this never happens to another team...

Where does Charlesworth live if not the Central Coast?

I find the situation at CCM strange, they were struggling to make payroll, and were making losses so they decided to borrow heavily and build a five a side football and hotel complex (taking a massive punt), with the idea that being that the profits from that would fund the main team and therefore they wouldn't be so reliant on the owners, then the complex wasn't as successful as hoped, the club was bailed out by part owner Charlesworth, and Football NSW took over the facility? Is that about it? Why would Charlesworth want to take over a club that has always struggled and is based in a city that is not his home?
