Jamie McKay young welly keeper, strong, does not break down and a leader at college level. Thism year so far played in Youth TW  and backup in NZFC TW. Last year central league call up and could hold head high. Under 19 for WUAFC for like the last four years. Would benefit big time with the guidance of JG.

But it is so obviously biased against people not from Wellington, since Wellingtonians have always won it (apart from the last two years).

In my opinion I think its become quite  competitive, as this is a huge prize, it could kick start a boys/girls dream to a professional football life!

Maybe to vote you should be a member? I dont know because it worked well in the past 2 years, but maybe its become more popular after the success from last years winner's opportunity through the Retro Ricki's scholarship?

Next year we will find a way to integrate voting into our website, so that people have to sign up to vote.

This year with the explosion of nominations I had to use an external service.

Can you lot tell us all where we can see these kids play this weekend?  I'm just in the process of getting a chart to update you on the voting but Sam Rausch from Upper Hutt has shot into the Top 5.  Will he be playing for Upper Hutt this weekend against Stop Out at the Raceway?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Izaac is playing 10:30 am tomorrow at Wellington High. Must be a friendly as grading starts next week.

Janelle will undoubtedly update this.

Sam Rausch is playing at Harcourt 1 at 2.30pm on Saturday (Capital 2, Upper Hutt FC dont have a team in Capital 1). He played in Champs Premier for UH 1sts all last season but I understand they got some more mature imports in this season or something and he is now competing against a number of ex Team Wellington players (like Wayne Rooker and a dude they call Winky) for his preferred position of Centre Mid in the Champs Prem team. Its better he gets 90 minutes each week than sits on the sub bench.

Winky = Jonathan Winkworth.

Completely off topic.

Ok well if anyone wants to watch central midfielder Alex Risdale play, you may have to go to England...

And how come Auckland lost to Canterbury?

Clearly, then, everyone has to move to Christchurch to have a successful football career.

well I was going to hang off voting till I could get a good understanding of all the candidates but there's a lack of good info.. no you tube clips or anything. Plus most people have already probably voted so I'm voting now too... unfortunately it's a fairly uninformed vote thou!
