Season Pass Delivery?

Must admit I am feeling extremely deflated. Word from home is that we still have not received any additional tickets. So that's one of the four from a family pass arriving on its own, incorrectly addressed, without the others. Why the f**k send four passes separately anyway? One of the reasons for getting a season pass is so I don't have to f**k around with arranging tickets. I'm often away from home during the week for work. I don't get back from Sydney until Saturday morning and have a full weekend lined up - marathon training, playing football, being a parent/husband, running the 5 Bridges event - and now it looks like I have to find some additional time to go visit ticketek too.

Can anyone see an increase in membership next season? The advise from everyone will be not to bother getting season tickets because it just creates more hassle than it's worth.

Tony P said only to panic if we're without tickets by Friday. Well, one day to go and three of four passes to go puts the odds heavily in the panic corner. I won't get a chance to do anything about it until I get back into the country, so Saturday's post will offer another chance. Then I'm back overseas next week, so will face the same bullsh*t hassles if we go another week.

Being a season ticket holder should make the relationship with the club tighter - not alienate us.

Well said SiNZ what i find even more annoying is how since an initial couple of posts from the club we know have silence.Sorry but i dont lay the blame all at Ticketecs door. After  the trouble last season and the early problems with signing up this season you would have thought the club would have been all over them making sure they got it right. To simply lay the blame with them is the easy option.I thought we supposedly had a membership person at the club if so they have done their job well.NOT

Maybe its time the media got involved, wonder what a show like Target or Fair Go would make of something like this. ballane2008-08-15 07:23:21

Reading the posts, I see a lot of people who have ordered more than 1 ticket only receiving part of their order. I ordered 4 and thankfully received all 4 albeit it in 4 separate envelopes. Surely there could be a process where all tickets from the same account holder is sent in one envelope. Do Nix management need to look at using a coy like Datamail (no I don't work for them) to sort orders out for mailing?

They do have a membership manager - I remember seeing the job advertised when I was still in Aussie and thinking about applying but I wouldn't have been back here quick enough.

Time for the club to speak up! Tony are you hearing/seeing all this trouble that your fans are having with getting tickets to the game? This cannot be good!!!!!

Had mine show up, but the missus is still waiting for hers. She's managed to sort paper tickets out, but still pretty boo. Hopefully it'll be in the mailbox when we get home tonight, but I'm not holding out too much hope from some of the most recent posts...

What did your Missus do to get the paper tickets?
From the club or ticketek?

does anyone know the number to call if you're having problems?

For those who have not received their passes you will need to go to the Phoenix store or any Ticketek outlet and quote account number, phone number or credit card used to purchase membership.

They will then print a hard ticket for Sunday, the seat will be your actual allocated membership seat. Ticketek should have also called those who have purchased their season pass post July 31 and explained what is required.

Called the member line at ticketek (04 384 2457).

Try chocs solution though, sounds easier than pissing around with ticketek...

I'm getting a bit sick of this whole process. No ticket yet, so I just rung the club number who put me off to the ticketek number (don't even bother ringing club). Ticketek as I suspected sent the pass to my old address despite me changing that when renewing. Now I have to make it to the MFC to pick up a paper ticket. Better than nothing I guess, but still pretty frustrating.

How many people next season are going to revert to buying individual match tickets? I'm not sure I'm going to bother renewing the season ticket next season. Let's face it, we've had two seasons and two cock-ups. That's a 100% record. I think I'm going to want to see a cock-up free season before I bother doing this again. It might work out a bit more expensive - but work in the cost of capital from not paying the whole amount in June and I bet it's not significantly different.

If I buy individual match tickets, I will get a PDF I can print at home - like I do with most Ticketek events (except general admission of course). So much easier. Only thing to worry about is where the tickets will be.

"Same old Aussies..."

But seriously, lets hope we get a solution... I can't believe the situation here compared to the Lions, which is a much larger geopgraphical proposition, with a huge range of membership types available (we'll get there I'm sure) too... just saw there m/ship has dropped to the lowest in the AFL this year at (only) 17-odd thousand... the Crows have over 48k, and thats Adelaide... bluddy plastic Brisbanians!!!

It wont happen again so get your season membership next year and save some money. You can hold me to that even if i have to process each card individually.

I suggest, Tony, that you provide some details of the key decisions that are made at that meeting (and/or subsequent ones).

At the moment, having only received 1 of the 3 passes, I find it hard to accept your statement at face value. I believe YF and others will need more reassurance than that.

My view is that you are someone who does what he says he is going to. But I recall last year ...

Once we get over this, Ticketek will have a lot of explaining to do. We have only 1500 members. Imagine if we had 10,000???   Rest assured it will be sorted.

I've highlighted the key phrase.

I believe you are a talented CEO, who works bloody hard, and is committed to the Phoenix. I just want some clear evidence (following your meeting(s) with Ticketek) that this has been resolved for next season.

tigers - I was just reading that original posting you have quoted from last year's season ticket thread and wondering whether I should quote it too.

I have been one who has previously defended Ticketek somewhat - on the basis that last year was a rush job and there's been 12 months to learn from the errors and put in remedial solutions to prevent a recurrence. For Ticktekek to fail again beggars belief. Processing the season tickets at the last minute, thus leaving no contingency time for getting errors resolved is incredibly poor judgement. If I ran my projects with such a blase approach to risk, I'd be fired.

Ticketek have had two chances and blown each. The text-book definition of stupidity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. The first time, you give someone slack to learn. The second time, the very next time, there should be no more chances.

Ticketek have no right to secure repeat business. If they are doing season tickets next season, you would have to ask what incentive they have to improve. They will have screwed up twice out of two projects, yet learnt they can keep the business. Why would we be entitled to believe it would be third time lucky?

Unfortunately I wont be here next season. But I hope you are right. I seriously, seriously hope you are right.

It is a real blessing having you here on the forum. Brave too when situations like this arise. I hope you know that we complain about these service inconveniences because we all want this club to succeed.

I would love to read in the NZ newspapers that the Nix get 15-20,000 average per game in the next few years. I would be so proud. But things like this do not help.

I am sure you know that already though, so I'll shut up.

Does Ticketek have to pay a financial penalty if they don't deliver a service?

yeah SiNZ, i did think before posting it

much as i am impressed by Tony P as a CEO, in regard to season tickets I believe the club (albeit with 'input' from ticketek) has let me down

i want reassurance (supported by some evidence) that I/We will get a better ( = satisfactory) outcome next season

i realise that Tony is under no obligation to allay my concerns and yet, given the experience of many on here, a clear and detailed response would seem to be in the club's interests

You can always buy a Benchwarmer membership next year.

I understand everyones frustration and yes I said it would be sorted but alas we had the same problems. It is very embarrassing for us and I will ensure members are kept updated with developments and what is being proposed for next year to avoid this again.

From someone whose season tickets were screwed up badly and had the long, cold walk up to Ticketek to get a paper ticket today - I'm happy with that.

Everything else the club has done on and off the field has been thoroughly professional - I am confident we'll get to the same standard with season ticketing - despite the useless bastards at Ticketek.

I'm happy about buying a season tickect again next year...I suppose I am one of the lucky ones...infact really lucky as I only bought my season ticket on 30 July, all names on passes, all delivered together, and before the game....I wasn't stressed about it to tell you the truth as I knew I would get to the game with or without my season ticket....

I was dealing with Ticketek for 70 odd season passes and would like to say thank you to them (Mia and Steph) for their wonderful service. Always replied prompty, couriered those that were looking dicey,  and even corrected a couple of mistakes. Also gave me the cellphone for the head honcho so I could hassle her at my own leisure

Great I can start panicking now because it is Friday and no sign of the season ticket. But Ticketek have done even better than last year and charged me $1200 for one ticket. So I recall all the promises to sort it out for this season and it is even worse than ever.

Pathetic service.

Yep the service from Ticketek is about as good as El**ch, think we ordered about 16 and 7 of them arrived with the same name on!!! And we ordered as soon as they were availible for renewal wonder how they are coping with the new members with a week less and all those new details to input!!!!!! Probably a good job we have not reached five thousand that would be similar carnage to the all inclusive beer!!!!!
