We hope it will change in October.

Unless ... Sky programmers find some really great vintage golf highlights to play.

You know, grainy black and white footage, players in knickerbockers, goilf clubs with wooden shafts, amateur players competing in big tournaments for the love of the game.

If they could find a fine, old programme like that, it would clearly take prime-time precedence over something as unimportant as the A-League...

(I suspect Sky is still trying to work out what the 'A' stands for.)

True.... or the Outer Mongolian kayaking regionals are scheduled for next month or there's curling anywhere in the world....
we'll be sh*t out of luck.
Endless replays, all month. end of.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

they really are twits. tonight's match, with both Smeltz and McGlinchey playing, is the one that Kiwis are going to be most interested in (Phoenix aside of course). Plus, Gold Coast entertain. Nobody at Sky is interested enough to think or care.

And watching Gold Coast get 'dicked', as they were, would have been hugely enjoyable. (Going by the highlights I caught on a Sky news story.)  Great stuff!!

Felt that the coverage today on Sky was rubbish..seemed to be one long shot camera apart from a few clsoe ups on player bodies etc.  Seemed fuzzy at times as well..lacking definition from wide and high.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Heard Doug Golightly editor Sky sport magazine ?? on ZB last night. Gave Phoenix fans, atmosphere etc real good wrap, he stayed on in SUNNY Wgton after egg ball game.

We can only hope he still gives good wrap to programme planners re showing more A league games, not holding my breathe though.

I read a piece some years ago that was in reply to SKY having a dedicated football channel.
The end result was they would have to drop a sports channel as football is there main day time filler that get a good viewer rating.

Things are starting to look up...

This Friday
Phoenix v GCU - LIVE 11pm

Saturday
Perth v NQF - LIVE 8.30pm
Melbourne v Brisbane - LIVE 10.30pm

The other two games are Monday night (Labour Day in NSW and SA) at 5pm and 7pm NZT - can't see far enough ahead in the on-screen guide yet to see if one or both of those are also live.

Not bad

One thing though, Sky advertised the Phoenix game next Friday, during the actual match yesterday, as 10pm. I thought it was strange because I was sure it was 11pm too with daylight savings taken into account.

I'll assume it is 11pm?

Their Program Manager did promise me last week when I spoke to him that October onwards would be better. So thats great news Sky. Thanks .

Yes indeed, this is getting much better....Thanks Sky.
Now, as the A-League will virtually be the only game in town, lets see some top performances, particularly from the Nix and, before you know it....
the crowds will come flocking,
The Nix will be at the top of the table,
Sky will show every A-League game there ever will be

...and   will be booking for lessons at the Aero Club.
