Steven Taylor - will optimistically hope that his name is never spelt wrong on here.

I'm hoping for a pronunciation guide be four the first pre season game.

I heard that he was off to Switzerland.

Another kiwi off to play in the lower scandi leagues.

....

You ignorant goon, Switzerland isn't in Scandinavia, it's in southern Africa, next to Mozambique.

Wait am I missing something here? Swaziland is the one in Southern Africa, Switzerland is the one in Europe, though it's not a Scandinavian country.

No, you're right, Swabia is the Scandinavian country.

No, you're thinking of swahili.

He'll give a clinic in how to defend too.

Technically (defensively) he's brilliant and he wouldn't have lost that with age.

Has never been the quickest, but he shouldn't struggle with that at this level

I'm assuming they have all gone as well, but asked Voerman and Rollo to try confirm with the club that Rufer, Galloway, Italiano, Rogerson, Mullen, McGarry and Patterson have all gone.

coach Mark Rudan confirms that no players who were off contract at the end of last season are currently training with the club.

Worlds worst kept secret revealed after two days. Was on facebook. Good signing although at 32, how long do others thinks he might be good for? No language barriers either.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

According to Phillip Rollo, the four guys training with the club atm are Elliot, Sinclair, Gulley and De Jong.

So Howieson and Payne have left eh

Does anyone know if this means they will not be signed or if there is still hope for them?

Yes I can generally understand what the characters say on Vera (great show), but Geordie Shore less so.

See he was born in London town anyways.

If he picked up a Geordie accent with all that time at Newcastle, an interpreter will most certainly be needed.

Welcome to Wellington though Steven.  fantastic to have you here

Rollo:

Not that he wanted to talk about it but Mark Rudan also confirmed every off contract player from last

season has gone, only to add “that’s not to say they won’t be invited back.”

Re kiwis on trial, Gulley maybe.

Elliot, according to Ifill, isn't ready. Highlights video confirms this.

My 2c says the other three are not as good as Galloway, Mullen, and Rogerson even.

Steven Taylor is a great signing. Glad he's come in now and can play under a coach who looks like he wants to revamp the Phoenix legacy.

Let's hope the next few signings take us over the edge from a bottom of the table club into a top 4 contender

bit sad to see Mullen go, he would be good for us.

Mullens the only one above I may've kept, but even then I wasn't particularly impressed. Fingers crossed the lot from the HAL are considered good enough.

Recent All White not with pro club was invited to Phoenix to trial. Would only come for guaranteed contract. I'll let you figure out how that went down with the coach.
