Yeah, the system is cooked, has been all along. It's a bonus when it works out in your favour.

But be honest... doesn't having everybody's favourite Alabanian salesman playing on Friday make for a more tantalizing prospect for the neutral fan?

Wind up? Not at all. Just curious at the response is all.

I suppose it is strange that followers of the game would be concerned about whether the disciplinary system operates in a fair, unbiased, and reasonable manner

"The disciplinary committee agreed Berisha had been provoked by Durante having been shown footage and stills of the defender both prodding the Victory player in the hip with his boot and placing a hand on his throat while he lay on the turf receiving medical treatment."

As much as I love our club, I'm finding it really hard to get engaged in the competition. It's just one joke after another... they make rules up as they go along then change them whenever it suits.

It's fudgeing ridiculous... it's like watching professional wrestling, with Berisha bringing the roid rage!

And Sigmund bringing the People's Elbow, with Durante giving some lip Jimmy Hart style.

It was a foul by Siggie. No doubt. No one has ever said anything otherwise. An elbow like that probably occurs half a dozen times in every game. Was it malicious? highly doubt it.  You try jumping to get any elevation and not use your arms in that manner.

The point is your dear Bes, was rolling on the floor like a pork chop, feigning the worst injury ever. Hell I thought he had been shot with a sniper rifle.

I hate when people excuse all Berisha's bullshark which 'passion' and he is 'good striker'. There are many, much better players worldwide than him who are real sports people and play fair.

If Durante really chocked him he should get a 3 or more games ban next year, but it's not the case. Beserk should get another red for 'diving'.

I'll never respect that guy as a person and I hope we never get a player like him on our team because you don't need those guys to win.

Berisha's a dirty lying piece of crap.

Even if Dura did kick and choke him (he didn't), then Berisha should still be getting a 2-3 match ban for violent conduct for kicking out the way he did.

That is the point that is being overlooked. What Dura did or didn't do is (or should have been) completely irrelevant.

And if there is this evidence that Durante is choking a player then he should get a Roy O'Donovan length ban, that would be absolutely appalling and much worse than Berisha kicking out .

I can't stand Berisha but I like that he exists. Characters like him add to the drama of the game. It's cathartic to be able to hate someone like that.

This!

The suspension is about what HE did. The only grounds for appeal that MVC should have been allowed is to somehow attempt to prove that he didn't lash out with his boot. That is what he was sent off for, so that is what any appeal should have been about. All the other stuff, the sob stories about how dizzy and confused he was (not too dizzy to give Ben Williams a gobful, I noticed) and the 'throat grab', which no evidence could be found to support, is complete BS and irrelevant. He quite obviously did what he was sent off for so, unless MVC magically produce a video in which he didn't lash out with his boot, he should've copped the 2 match ban for violent conduct. End of.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Yes he should have just lain there passively while someone stood over him and goaded him.

I dont agree with him kicking out (while being treated on the ground), but I think some are getting as carried away as he was

I think the one match ban is fair

100% Just shows his character, he acts like kid, actually not like a kid, most of them are more clever. Imagine the club meeting when they discussed what he is stating in front the panel? How do they come up with a list of stupid excuses?

Maybe the contact between Siggy's forearm and the side of his head did knock him right out of his senses. But how could you possibly tell?

Durante shouldn't of been there, and berating the ref is a habit that Durante has in particular that I don't like, however he's going to keep doing it while he's allowed to and while it gets results. However it's not Berisha's job to kick him away, it's the refs job to get rid of him.

The other thing is this, if you are injured there is no way you roll around on the ground, you either stay still holding the wound, or you get up and walk it off. You don't roll around rubbing it vigorously. If he behaved like someone who was injured then I would have sympathy for him, but no one behaves like that if they are legitimately in pain.

That is not how a grown man deals with someone hitting his shin, it's actually comical.

We need to stop this sort of carry on if we're going to get any traction into mainstream NZ.

Siggy was hurt in his last game - didn't flop around like an idiot though.  It reminds me of a toddler who is a little bit hurt but really just wants attention.

Plus it's a regular thing he does. I've noticed him do it on many occasions whenever he is so much as touched in the face/head. I know other players do it, and other sports too, but that doesn't make it any less cringey.

I agree on both points. I get frustrated with players crowding the ref and harassing him, whether it is over a decision or someone injured.

We could learn a lot from rugby there actually. You don't see this sort of nonsense there.

Yes Berisha is a berk the way he carries on, again something that should be stamped out. However it isn't for others to sort, I'd love to see the refs being more proactive.
