Not until after the World Cup.  Pat is too busy with his shows and the rest of us are enjoying a World Cup Bubble hiatus

Stay tuned for possible guests in the not too distant future though

Recording tomorrow night.  Pat is a little behind on his editing with TWGOAT, so you may have to wait a few days for it to come out

I know the frustration but I also know these lads have lives and family's and this is a volunteer side project that they do bloody well on. I know they recorded last week but it sounds like there have been some circumstances that have effected the editing meaning a delay.

With all the current knew the POD might even be out of date, I am sure they are doing their best.

Patrick has been very busy with interests outside football, and the rest of us wanted to watch as much of the World Cup as we could.  Throw in kids and recording just wasn't something we could prioritise.

We did record last week, but due to Pat's schedule he has to edit it at work in his lunch time, and if work gets busy, pod gets delayed.  We are looking at getting back into a regular schedule, probably after the FFA Cup match with Bentleigh Greens (so we have something for content).  We also have a request in for a guest which we hope to get over the line in the coming weeks (this is actually easier during the season when all the players are on board and the plans/schedules are set)

Baffled you didn't know who Steven Taylor was or even Pompey.

I've never closely followed English football - it's on at times during the night that are not conducive to sleep - this combined with the massive distance means that I don't feel attached to it at all. Most of my knowledge of English football comes from playing Football Manager.

It wasn't Pompey that I didn't know, I didn't know that The Posh was a nickname for Peterborough. I knew Peterborough was a club though if that wins me any points!

The main league I followed outside of our region was the MLS - mainly because the games are on at a good time to watch in the afternoon. However, as other things in my life have become more of a thing, I've followed this less and less, to the point where I'm just checking in on Colorado now to see how many losses old mate Huddo is up to now.

Basically, I just follow the A-League and the NZ leagues now, and I barely have the time to do those in the same way that I used to. The connection we have by being able to go to games, talk to players and coaches etc, nd be involved in Wellington leagues and a referee mean that I can connect to our local football far more that I ever could an overseas league that exists purely on the tele for me.

Hope this answers your question!

So who do you think will win Round 2 of Capital 10 this season? Will go down to the wire I reckon.

Completely fair enough; obviously you got in a bit later than most, so makes sense that you would be more attached to local football. English football was all we use to have, really.

Thanks for the pod guys. Need this damn season to start.

Nighthawks in the box seat, but a loss to the Roundballs next weekend could absolutely jepardise that. A true promotion six pointer.

I was lucky that the time I properly started following football, both the Phoenix and Team Wellington were a thing that already existed and were easily accessible for me. Part of me is ashamed that I'm a 2010 finals run bandwagoner, but I've stuck around since through some sharkty times so I think I've earned my stay.

Meh, don't think it matters when you started. If you've continued to support through the ridiculous years we've had since, then that's enough imo.

I never really followed the Knights until Ricki took over for half a season.

All good. Wasn't a dig at you or anything, was just surprised as you knew a lot about the A-League/NZ so thought you followed others.  And yeah whoops - it was Posh.

Uruguay is the smallest country to make World Cup final. Perhaps they meant smallest in modern times (i.e. post-1950).
