Fair enough - it was a possum tail anyway - quite suitable for throwing but maybe best kept in one's pocket until later tonight.

You could put a tail on Pluto and call it a weasel. It would still have a gravitational force and players from there would still struggle in the A-League.

Something doesn't need to be a planet or have a large mass to have a gravitational pull.
Two apples in space will be drawn together by eachothers gravitational pull, as long as no other forces are acting.

Is it wrong if I snigger at the name Phil Stubb-ins as ass coach?

Why would there be two apples in space?

I think you are just making things up.

Solarzano is a good player but he would not suit the Nix playing style. Too small......he would soon get sick of trying to get on the end of wayward crosses from our Marco-less wide guys.

He would be better at a ball playing side where is movement and ball playing ability would be more appreciated

Greenie does an okay job like that, however a tall, strong striker such as D-Mac is much better suited to our playing style.

Does it really? Didn't the Tards pay a million for Hernandez a couple of years ago?

Think they paid 500k - and yes it does. That's why their team has stayed stagnant for a long period of time.

Smeltz signed for Perth.
In the article it says that Djite is leaving Gold Coast for either Adelaide, Sydney or Heart. He could be a good signing for us

Actually I don't think it does:

https://www.pfa.net.au/index.php?id=81

"The table above illustrates the minimum, maximum and total payments that clubs are entitled to make to players.  The averages are calculated based on a roster of 22 (the maximum roster exclusive of the marquee player) and the following payments:

  • maximum and minimum player payments;
  • additional services agreements; and
  • under 23 marquee player(s)."
A transfer fee is not paid to a player so, unless it's included as an "additional service agreement" - by which I assume they mean such things as rent on a house -  I don't think it comes out of the cap.

Gold Coast without Smeltz, Culina, Van Den Brink, Moss and Djite. Time for Palmer to open the wallet me thinks.

What's the go with Nick Ward and D-Mac? GCU could come calling.Luis Garcia2011-03-20 22:53:51

I really think we should go for Djite - a good fit for the style we play. He's good in the air. has a physicial presence and actually has some pace as well for a big man. He can also knock in the goals

good enough to be signed for a turkish team and whilst he didnt stay he lasted longer then smeltz

sign him up

Probably not as difficult as Paston might find it, though.

Not fussed either way about Ward.

Djite is good at A-League level.

Jabba seems to be exploring every way possible to do things on the cheap. No marketing, then stadium crowd caps, now playing the NYL side in the A-League for next season.

The chance to wear stripey alone should be enough of an attraction to sign for nix.

Agree with you. Question is - would he want to stay with us? Clubs like Cold Ghost might be tempting him to come back to Aussie.
