No

OK, but can we please get this confirmed by someone who knows someone who's talked to Vuko's Dad?

We need to take drastic measures to keep the boy in Wellington. Does he have a girlfriend? Can we find him a Wellington one very quickly?I'd volunteer but (a) I'm taken (b) I'm too old for him and (c) I don't livein Wellington.

That never stopped Tiger!

If we sign Naum Sekulovski I will cry.  Even if he shaved off his ludicrous sideburns I'd cry, though probably not quite as much.

He could always pull a Smeltzy.. get there, think the weathers sh*t / missus doesn't like the shopping etc, so bails out and comes back to the Nix.

Yeah but he's an Aussie and he's going to Perth ... can't see him fancying Wellington more, can you?

Hey goldienz, are you are a fellow Whanganui resident??

I surely am :)

I DO NOT WANT SEKULOVSKI

Please no. Just an arrogant bastard who is very past it.

We want a young LB if we are looking. More of an understudy to Lochhead

I love manny in our midfield, would rather have hearfield stay or siggy play RB than put manny back there.

Is it just me or has vinnie's passing improved massively this year? I really rate our midfield of brown/lia/muscat, for me there's no midfield in the league they can't boss

Anyone from the Fury worth signing?
I think right back is the biggest priority, I don't really want Manny moving back. It's a pity Hearfield is rumoured to be moving. He seems to have finally clicked there in recent weeks. Always had the pace and instinct to get forward and support, now his positioning is getting better. I think he should stay as a back.

I would quite like a really quick goal scoring striker. Most of our strikers are a touch slow except for Pav who doesn't quite have the temprament yet. I'm not disapointed we re-signed him though, he does have potential. If North goes we do need another central defender, doesn't have to be an international though, I'm happy with Siggy and Dura as first choice. I wouldn't be averse to signing Clapham if no one better was sticking out, we will need another midfield squad player and I'm pretty sure he would be committed and relatively cheap. Other than that can afford to be quite opportunistic.

Or a good holding midfielder so Manny can go back to Right back.

Personally i think Manny would be wasted back at right back. Nice to know we can use him for cover there, but i would prefer a new right back, and leave Manny in holding mid.

Agree on Manny, he's now become one of our best players and I'd keep him in the middle of the park and look for a new right back.

Surprised about the bolded part.

yea wondered if others would disagree with that :)

they aint the prettiest passing midfield but when we're playing well (i.e. at home) and those three are all there, other teams just get nothing in the middle of the park - perhaps putting it this way is a bit different than saying there's no midfield they cant boss though...

have they bossed a midfield while paying away from home?

Pretty sure Raor and CCM bossed at home this season.

Put it this way, there are plenty of other CM combos I would rather have.

That might be because CCM and the Roar play exactly the same game, home or away. We very obviously don't.

At home we tend to press more and exert more presure on the ball in midfield, whereas when we're away we tend to sit far deeper.

Take your point though.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I'd probably prefer either Song/Wilshere/Fabregas or Busquets/Xavi/Iniesta

na our midfield is more like Barry/De Jong/ Toure.

I can see the initial point, however I think when Ward was in there he was very creative and added that edge that we dont usually have

I think Jack Hingert is a decent RB, better than Hearfield and haven't heard any news of him getting a contract with another A League side.

And I think he will still be a youth player for next season

I think we could have a better, at least more aesthetically pleasing, CM combo Muscat/Lia/Ward

According to the Adelaide paper today,

"The(Phoenix) side also has been rocked by contract speculation, with AFC Asian Cup Socceroo Jade North linked to Sydney FC's Champions League campaign - if the Sky Blues manage to register the defender before the deadline - and FC Tokyo."

North going North ??

Out of the starting line up verses north queensland, the majority of the team remains unsigned, Rojas, ward, north, hear field, vukovich, big Mac

Some have already gone and that is a worry. Ricki needs to get moving on this one, or next yearvwill be discussing another poor retention/transfer policy

Auckland will rise once more
