I wouldn't expect him to be a world beater but he could be a lot better than what we have in that position.  Having a forward who drops off would be useful - he's not a big goal scorer but has always created goals.

In 28 January, he joined Olympiacos Volos on a 6-month loan.Apparently Wellington Phoenix are interested in Krisztian Nemeth.

Interesting. Some dude swooped in to "confirm" N�meth as a Nix player before it was reverted. This makes me think that this whole rumour might just be a prank pulled by someone.

I would think with our game plan being often long ball and crosses into the box a lump like Mehmet would have been exactle what we wanted until the bright lights of Rigters threw us off course momentarilly.

I would have thought so too, but i would love one day that we could slowly kick out the hoofing style and bringing in more ball playing players so we could have strikers like this guy. These changes could be slowly in effect is Sanchez can win himself a spot in the side and if Chettleburgh can build into that type of player. To be fair I thought Mehmet was an ideal candidate for our side

However this young lad is quite good with his head as well and looked pretty clinical from what I gathered from that video. Playing with liverpool and scoring for their first team is a bonus.playwithFire2011-09-08 10:06:53

I am happy to be proven wrong however history tells me Ricki will lose faith in Dani if he has a couple of off games at the start of the season and be brought back at the end of the season when we are almost needing to win every game. 
Meanwhile Brown will be given plenty of chances and scoring a few goals to his credit whilst crosses and long balls going into the box with no one to finish them or bring them down for someone else to finish.
Cynical I know, please Ricki select Dani and sign this Nemeth if he is the business and let the loose!!

I agree. Hopefully there is some substance to the rumour. Still only 22 so would definately have sell on value if we signed him for more than a year! Would go a fair way to easing the pain after missing Rigters and flagging Mehmet. Full Hungarian international as well, so he'll be gaining regular international experience against European countries in the next year. Hoepfully its true.

Given the current state of club finances - I am available on a free transfer from North Wellington Masters to warm the bench this season. I don't train as such, but I don't see that as a biggie personally as I am quite good at shouting encouragement to the referee.

If I remember correctly, I think it's both - initially he said that he hoped to have the squad mostly in place by the end of August, and later on said it was likely the squad would be completed in September.

why are there so many viewers on the forum over the last week or so?

Would have been quite ironic. But sounds like he is more of an attacking midfielder rather than a striker, and with that last foreign spot destined for David Villa or some other similar striker, then dont think he could fit it.
